  • @predsfan74 wow maybe you should know your history, clearly you are a Predators fan I have been a life long Amerks fan, and always will be. I know my history.

  • @irishflood99 ya so predators have nothing to do with this.. ive been in rochester all my life and know the team..

  • @predsfan74 So if they were named that because they were affiliated with the Canadiens, you should also know that first year they had a dual affiliation with both Toronto and Montreal.

  • sounds like the dallas stars goal horn :)

  • @NfsUndercoverAgent I know right? copiers

  • Seriously, at everyone. Rochester is the top development affiliate for the Florida Panthers currently. They have been with Buffalo, Vancouver, and also Independant as well for 2 seasons in the 60's. So @ jbhockeyplayer, not Nashville (Peoria if I'm not mistaken). @alecathesensfan it sounds like dallas here, but they play different music almost every goal.

  • @jbhockeyplayer22 LOL..you need to learn hockey.. nashville affiliate has been MiLWAUKEE since 1998 (their inaugural season).. Amerks have been Canadiens (thats why they are called the Americans), Bruins, sabres and now Panthers (til the end of this year)..not sure who else but I think they were also detroit after the candiens?

  • @predsfan74 actually that is not why they are called the Americans. There used to be an NHL team called the New York Americans til the Rangers ran them out, by having more money. And when the AHL wanted to create a team in Rochester they had the idea to bring back that old name, as it was one of the firsts in hockey in America. So it was more of a tribute to a past team.

  • @irishflood99 NO its because they were affiliated with the Montreal Canadians...know your history

  • my dad was born in Rochester and he went to one game that

they were up 6-1 in the third period. lol, he was very late.and they didnt score any more goals.

  • yeah america!!!

  • why are the amerks no longer the sabres AHL team

  • Because Buffalo got tired of sharing an AHL team with Florida, and after the Iowa Stars folded Anaheim moved their AHL team to Iowa, and Buffalo saw Portland open and went there.

  • @lotrmaster66 because the americans are an independant AHL hockey team( which means there not realy any ones farm team ) they swich every time an AHL team Swiches(which happens alot belive me Im a Lake Erie Monsters fan.. which used to be the Barons but hey, what can you do...).

  • @wofenfan23

they are floridas farm team. they arent independent. and I dont think have EVER been..

  • @wofenfan23 Amerks were NEVER and independent team..they have ALWAYS had a parent club..but never OWNED by a nhl team like the rangers

  • go amerks.any way its to late for tyler plante and tukunin

  • HI!! :D

  • Nope... Not us.

  • why do the panthers and stars have the same ahl teams?

  • it is temporary until the texas stars replace the iowa stars which the ahl got rid of for some reason

  • this is not the amerks horn at all this is the american airlines center

  • I'm pretty sure that's NOT the Amerks' horn(the Knighthawks of the NLL play here as well, and I've been in the arena a few times-and heard it way too many times).

However, thanks for posting it just the same!

  • it is there horn...

  • nice

  • cool
