Excellent! I loved Petticoat Junction until the untimely passing of Bea Benaderet. After that I just didn't care much for the show any more. Thanks for uploading these episodes. It's also on MeTV now.
I had such a crush on Meredith MacRae! I liked all of Paul Henning's shows, but "Petticoat Junction" was my favorite because of Billie Jo. I watched every week just to see her, and she never got enough face time to suit me.
@KSUFlashgrad84 I've talked to several like that. It's why event though i'm heavy on Steve and Betty jo I try to remember and throw in the Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo ones as well. Really need to put up at least one more of each of them and another one with Kate before getting back to the lovely couple again. lol
Part 2.. the slapsticlk comedy aspect was toned down quite a bit. and more and more episodes had one. two, or more cast members singing. Toward the end of the series run, there were musical numbers in about every other episode.
The non-singing episodes were fewer in number, to say the least.
For some people that may have been a "Jump The Shark" moment for the series, but I myself REALLY enjoyed the singing in the later years, it made the show more interesting.
This season not only brought in Mike Minor as Steve Elliott and Meredith MacRae as the third(and my favorite) Billie Jo, but also marked a gradual change in tone.
Thanks to the vocal talents of Minor and even more so Ms. MacRae, singing, slowly became a recurring theme and would become even more common as the years progressed.
There was some singing in the earlier shows but mostly, the emphasis was on slapstick comedy.
@carolharrison123 Don't worry. I do want to put the next episode up first, the one where he decides to stay, and will then finish out the rest of the later seasons. And you are very welcome.
So Kate runs a hotel and has 3 daughters all with different hair colors and no husband? doesn't that seem a bit shady? hence the name of the hotel.
thats the sweetest dog ever yeah?
