saw the same thing dec. 24, northern manitoba canada twice in one day. with multiple witnesses, and another sighting that made the paper. my first sighting was a single orb. my 2nd was 5 to the south east , opposite to the first.coincidently , one of the witnesses of my 2nd sighting was a military pilot, who had no explanation for what was occuring. he would have disclosed any information. and this morning actually, my grama saw the same thing as she drove down here on new years lastnight

Saw it in South Africa on 31 Dec 2010 Late night. Feint orange like a fireball. Definitely not a distress flair. Moved South West in the sky losing altitude, then gaining altitude again before disappearing on the horizon. Difficult to judge speed, if a lantern, propably 80 km/h, if at higher altitude propably 1000km/h +

I saw this exact light from my house, my friend and I first thought that it was just fire works, or a plane, this was at about 12, but I woke up at about 5 and I sat looking to see if any more would come, not until I was almost asleep did I see it again, and it was flashing, then went to the bright orange colour again and lost sight of it on the horizon.

I promiss you I have seen exactly the same in Belgium at 24h05 first january 2011! THe first UFO I see. I could not beleive it. It was too big and powerfull to be a plane or a chinese lantern. I was so excited but also afraid at the biginning because it came really fast and I tought it was an asteroid/meteorit. But then the UFO stopped - observed all the fireworks and left verticaly. I have seen it 4-5 minutes. My wife too. I am trying to find people in Belgium who have seen it also. just waow
