what i like about this vid wasnt the diaologue, or the jolty camera, or the missing areal note, but the pure innocence of sharing something without acting.
it was a microburst....they r more dangerous than cyclones - same wind speed as cyclones, heavier rain in shorter periods of time and extremely vicious
Apparently the worst storm in 25 years and I can say that it would have eclipsed the storm I endured in 1984 if you were in the Gap. Luckily I'm in Albion, still scarey but from what I see in the Gap, holy crap! Gapocalypse! They are calling it! lol. In '84 the hail stones were golf ball sized; this '8 marble sized, imagine that put in for good measure. Nice river you have there and footage, thanks :)
we got da power back yesterday but troys house is like totally unlivable unfortunately. worst storm my 19 year old bro and i have ever seen. it very funny cause it was dales [brother] on the day that it hit hehehe.
ABC said it was 130kph through the Gap, just got power back on wednesday morning... about 64 hours without i think, and we're close on the city side of The Gap.
Ulladulla never gets storms like that... When we get one on the rare occasion, it usually happens for like 5 minutes then stops and its back to boring again..
Great vid. Glad you are ok. Mum and Dad live at The Gap and we went to visit them after the storm. Man...mass destruction! Mum and Dad missed damage as well, but had a couple trees down. Well done!
wow... I'm up in bracken ridge and it did get pretty strong. Except I don't think there was any damage here as all the houses are new and brick and we have zero trees.
I'm glad you're alright. I feel for the guy that died at chermside :( that's not far away from me.
Well I'm glad you got power back and that it wasn't worse than it was. So much water. If only there was a way to collect it and distribute it amongst drought-affected Australia.

Ever noticed how much greener plant life is when it's raining or even overcast? That's because the sun isn't overpowering it!
