One of my horses (chase) rushes towards fences because he adores his jumping so much he just gets a bit overexcited! He jumps them really well and with loads of scope, but he can be a bit.. silly!

We went to a show once, in it you have to stop and open a gate and walk your horse through it. Chase ran straight through it! Haha.

Anyway this videos amazing and Smartie is so adorable haha!

such a cute horse, and great riding, she trys to rush her fences and i know from experience how hard it is to try and get them to listen to you and pick up properly after that and not just flatten out, you did really well! :)

Check you out in your pink bridle ;) You said you riding was terrible.. but I beg to differ! :) You have such a good position, and Smartie's look great too. ;D Hmmm.. why don't you have jumps that are wonky... like set up diagonally, but you have to jump them straight? Just something I did on my pony a few days ago, she was a bit confused and it makes them think about what they're doing. Also helps you hit the centre of each jump :) xx

excercises... don't get me started hahahaaa! a good onei like ALOT is to set up six jumps in a hexagon, so there's two strides inbetween each opposite jump, and then jump in and out of it as you wish, so you can jump in and then out the opposite one, or do dog legs for example :) i love it! :D
