While I am by no means a progamer, if he stoped going for seige and timed it so that some scv's for use as a wall and repair for the tank and say 2 or 3 vultures with mines engaged and mined around the goons as the tank would come out he could lift off and get his tank out and hopefully micro enough to get his tank out. This is earlier before there are say over 4 goons. The goons would have to go for the tank or move out from/kill the mines
he was researching siege mode, look at the machine shop. plus if he stopped it to lift, he would lose regardless. rines suck against goons the only way to stop them are siege tanks.
build mid-air glitch only works when the building is completly surrounded. in this case, it is not completly surrounded, there is a small spot for the dragoon to spawn. build midair glitch is usually only possible in gay FMP and custom maps. (where the land is square blocks)
dragoon??? the glitch i was talking about is (okay i will use tank as an example...) if you press l then t extremely fast it will have a tank ready to build in the factory's queue. however it wont start building until it lands again (but the benefit is u can build a tank without a machine shop if u land it elsewhere)
to add to that, if you rightclick a spot elsewhere while the factory is relanding, it will lift off again and continue building whatever is in the factory queue, hence "build in midair".
He could just build the tank and then lift off the fact and achieve the same effect. The problem is that if he lifts off his fact, the tank upgrade gets cancelled
