I've played a little bit of EoSD but that was a fan remake I think and it only takes you to just before the fight with China and then the writing was in Japanese so I couldn't continue.

@fevimaster Touhoumon is a thing. I just started playing it recently. They're a set of total conversion mods for FireRed/LeafGreen. I'm enjoying it very throughly. I personally picked Touhoumon Blue because even though the Wiki for it went down it's the most stable English version.

@fevimaster It's odd, I thought I was a badass for clearing the games up till Subterranean Animism on Lunatic (or any equivalent in those odd off-touhou fighting installments such as 10.5 that I'm not sure were actually official or not). When I actually started playing 11, my bluster had disappeared in a puff of dawning apprehension. I'm not sure how other people feel about the difficulty of Subterranean animism, but it kicked my ass so hard that my computer chair all but exploded.

And I'm pathetic at fighting games (you should see me play super smash bros. it's sad ||oTL), so I generally just skip them. (I didn't like 09 much either.) I've heard things about Subterranian Animism, but obviously I haven't played it yet. I generally move on after I 1cc Hard and beat Extra. If I were to 1cc Lunatic, I would still be trying to lift the Scarlet Mist ||oTL

@fevimaster Subterranean Animism on Lunatic was the videogame equivalent (at least for me) of falling face first into an industrial hamburger grinder while hogtied. I eventually cleared it, but not after spending 3 days straight attempting it. I know people who felt it was easy compared to the others, but I had the opposite experience.

@fevimaster If you really want to get good at Danmaku, there's a flashgame by mattlikesswords called Bullet Heaven. It is essentially Training Wheels for Lunatic Junkies. Clear the entire game with B rank on each level or more and you can probably handle Embodiment Scarlet Devil on Lunatic.
