I want to include some information about places featured in the film: Leighton Barracks (so I believe) in Wuerzburg; Camp Hof of the 2nd Armored Cav. in Hof/Saale, today General Huettner Kaserne of the German Bundeswehr. The title giving broken bridge of course is the Saale brücke near Hof, about halfway betwen Munich and Berlin on the Autobahn today Autobahn A 9. the bridge is still there, repaired an widened in the meantime
