Alvaro Uribe is also a righ-winger that legitimately won an election and went to Harvard. He's popularity in Colombia is greater than Hugo Chávez's popularity in Venezuela. Your point?
Whenever I think of conservatives in Central and South America, I always think of the death squads. I don't EVER wish to run into ANYONE calling themselves a conservative south of North America. It's guaranteed to result in disastrous consequences.
First off, I'm not going to expect you really know all about all the president's in the whole world. I'm going to assume you typed his name up and looked for any dirt on him on Google. In 2008 his ratings were at an all time high at 91%.. He has really done a lot for Colombia, by making it a lot safer than it was a decade ago. I've heard the scandals, but you're going to hear accusations against any president, that might or might not be true. If I read that Obama is killing teachers, is it true?

For the longest time, right-wingers had to rely on military coups and dictatorships to gain power, such as what happened in Honduras.
They really are pieces of shit.
OpenInsanity 2 years ago
@OpenInsanity Oh ya left wingers like Stalin, Trotsky, Che and Castro never relied on military coups, did they?

Alvaro Uribe is pretty conservative and he's doing a pretty good job in Colombia and the people seem to really like him there.

Teachers and other civilians are also getting murdered. You should look into that.

I guess we can say that Chile has moved on from Pinochet and went to the right, and that's a good thing.
