This makes me even more bummed that I didn't get the Civic I wanted. :/ I was going to buy a 95 Civic coupe that had a D15 1.6L I4 engine, 20lb wet-shot NX Bottle, Tien shocks, and a straight exhaust, de-catted, leading to an N1 tip at the end. The car was freakin' amazing. The guy wanted $1500 for it, some douchebag bought it for $1500 and resold it for $3,000 two days later to make a buck off it.
@KeepItFreshTV Unequal length exhaust tubes. The gasses bump into each other causing the subaru brumble. If you put equal lengths on a subaru it sounds similar to a honda lol.
@alboman1 exactly, gasses bumping = lesser performance but it was a definite step up from my previous header. I now have a kiddracing header and loving it. I have no clue what brand it is. Picked it up as part of a trade. My friend has an exact match to mine (from the looks of it) but there is no rumble.
N1 exhaust is the worst thing you can put on your honda, you will guaranteed ruin your engine. Honda engines blow piston rings without backpressure to hold them in place. I've blown up an H22 and a D15 with N1 exhausts on them, not from over revving or anything else, both engines started sputtering and after the engines were taken apart it was blown rings in both of them.
@fastvtec Your welcome. It's ok, don't have anything bad to say about it. A lot of people diss them but mines worked fine for about 5years. I prefer a p28 chip ecu or (even better) hondata s300. All mine does now is sit on the dash and read rpms. I'm selling it to a friend of mine in a couple weeks.
How'd u hook up ur skunk2 field vtec controller? Iv had one for about a year and can't find install diagrams anywhere online or anyone talking about how to install it. Thanks

@semirosi yep integra dc dash, climate control, & shifter bezel. It now has civic door panels that I have reshaped to fit this dash. I am probably going to go back with a black civic dash and door panels. I really like the teg one better but SCCA rules can be ridiculously strict :/

@SnipeMeNot prices on paint jobs vary greatly. the most expensive thing on painting a car is labor charges especially if you have dents and dings that need fixing. If you do it yourself you can save a ton but it's very time consuming and knowing how to prep the car properly is key. You can paint it yourself for about $150 or pay a professional shop to do it for about $3,500. You can find individuals to paint them for you for around $1,000.
@shaggyz6 Go to Maaco and you can get it done for as little as $250(roughly) and as high as 5,000. Its all in the prep of the car. Pay 250 and you get it painted but they dont do as good job prepping it as the would if you pay more. But if your like me and just want to get the damn thing painted already so it looks good, you pay the 250. Ill be starting my journey with my EG this spring. and BTW, should i paint it black?? seeing that dirt may show a lot more?
@oPOPNLOCKo Ya black shows a dirt a lot. Especially the way air turbulence is behind the hatch, it will stay dirty most of the time. My 96 accord is black and it always looks dirty. My hatch is Phantom Grey Pearl (factory honda) and it's not super bad but I hardly drive it. If you like black then do it, just be prepared to put in a lot of time if you want to keep it clean.
@shaggyz6 if you do canyon races, i suggest you rattle can it. i have an EH2 also and im gonna run it on the mountain side every weekend and since i know it'll get scratched by accident or by a hater, i rattle canned it semi gloss black, but it shows the dents alot with the lil bit of light reflection it has so imma go flat. its $5 for a can, $4 for sand paper and $12 for a small container of bondo which $21 is alot better than $100-$500 to repaint a fender or quarter panel
go all motor, its not always about big power, its about enjoying yer ride the way you like it. I gotta say i love all motor hondas, slow or not i dont give a fuk

Get a jackson supercharger, not sure if they make them for b series i think they do, super is alot easier then turbo with vtec engines, alot more reliable too which is good for your daily driver.
The last mod for my h22a EG civic is sleeving the block and supercharging, already done all internals, clutch, exhaust etc. Gonna post some runs when its done.
@Wrulol Yes they make them for the B series and dont want one of those either. For the money they cost I can just build a 1.8L that I have my eyes on. This is not my daily driver and it rarely ever sees the street now except when I decide to drive to the race track. Thought about twin charging (SC + turbo). There is a guy here on youtube that has done it and works really well for autox. Think it made 444whp. Will probably just stay with the stroked 1.8 for simplicity sake. Subed4 ur vid :)
@shaggyz6 exactly, turbo's don't have to be laggy. I've seen far too many hondas/acuras with very unuseable power. I would bolt up a gt28 series and easily shoot for 300hp. Go with a more boost friendly 9:1 and you should be at full boost quick.
@mitsufq360 Like the last turbo car i built lol. Made 357whp on half boost @16psi. Full boost was 29psi. It could have made a good bit more but it still had stock gsr cams in it. We were going to work out all the traction issues and change cams before we went full boost. The kit came off of a car that had the same motor build we had & was making in the 600whp range at 29psi. Bad thing was that the fker didn't spool until 2 days later it felt like haha. Got bored of that shit then went SCCA.
@sharpienoob you can find just the axle back for around $350 used. new around $450. if you want the complete catback new then expect to pay about $1,000 or more. I have roughly $700 in this catback setup, about $1,000 if you count the header. Unless you just want to be a JDM baller then get a cheaper exhaust like a BuddyClub or other quality brand. A new catback system from them is around half what you will pay for a Spoon.
@lucastownend31 agreed, but i will be doing videos on all of those cars listed. i actually own more cars than what is in that list but that's just the only projects i see getting to in the foreseeable future. like for instance, i also have a California Rail Dunebuggy, a 54 Chevy truck, 2 CJ 7s and some other random shit that isn't worth very much / no one would care about. @JDMEXforme The internals of the engine are all stock with just the basic boltons. The gurgling sound comes from the unequal length 4-1 header that I am running. The exhaust gasses bump into each other instead of flowing out smoothly. If you want the sound, you may can find a similar 4-1 header for your D but it wouldn't be the best for power. 4-2-1 are a better design. I suppose you could pull a plug wire off of it, that would make it have an uneven rumble :P lolz

@hiphopveins1987 ok. you want rare, i have a 65 Shelby GT350 #180 of only 500 built that year. A 76 GT1 that most people havent ever heard of, much less seen, w/ roughly only about 500 known to still exist in the world. last integra i built was 357hp half boost. drag raced it until i was so bored i couldnt see straight. I used to be the JDM Elitist too which is why i have over $1000 in this exhaust. sold most of that shit and bought stuff that would win races ;) .....peace
@caamalrandy its pretty easy. you just have to patch the original civic dash wiring harness into the integra cluster and other accessories then your set :P I may do a how-to video on it at a later time.
@Banedsigh The 4-2-1 designs are better for low-mid rpm torque while the 4-1 is better for high rpm power. The car is currently being used in autocross where lower rpms are used a lot. When I make the transition back into road racing the 4-1 is slightly better due to using high rpms most of the time. But, I'm switching to a Hytech header which blends the 2 designs. It's currently the best on the market but the most expensive :(
@Banedsigh For daily street cars I like the 4-2-1 designs better personally. But some people like the rumble sound :) I know I got a lot of "what the hell?" comments when I had it on mine haha.
@Banedsigh Yep it defiantly was. The unequal length tubes of the 4-1 gave it the rumble. If you put equal length headers on the Subaru engine it smoothens out and sounds pretty much normal. Since this video, I have went back to a 4-2-1 design and now it sounds like every other honda engine :P

@Wrulol Yes they make them for the B series and dont want one of those either. For the money they cost I can just build a 1.8L that I have my eyes on. This is not my daily driver and it rarely ever sees the street now except when I decide to drive to the race track. Thought about twin charging (SC + turbo). There is a guy here on youtube that has done it and works really well for autox. Think it made 444whp. Will probably just stay with the stroked 1.8 for simplicity sake. Subed4 ur vid :)

@shaggyz6 exactly, turbo's don't have to be laggy. I've seen far too many hondas/acuras with very unuseable power. I would bolt up a gt28 series and easily shoot for 300hp. Go with a more boost friendly 9:1 and you should be at full boost quick.

@mitsufq360 Like the last turbo car i built lol. Made 357whp on half boost @16psi. Full boost was 29psi. It could have made a good bit more but it still had stock gsr cams in it. We were going to work out all the traction issues and change cams before we went full boost. The kit came off of a car that had the same motor build we had & was making in the 600whp range at 29psi. Bad thing was that the fker didn't spool until 2 days later it felt like haha. Got bored of that shit then went SCCA.

@sharpienoob you can find just the axle back for around $350 used. new around $450. if you want the complete catback new then expect to pay about $1,000 or more. I have roughly $700 in this catback setup, about $1,000 if you count the header. Unless you just want to be a JDM baller then get a cheaper exhaust like a BuddyClub or other quality brand. A new catback system from them is around half what you will pay for a Spoon.

@Lasilvt it is a 240mm Broadway Mirror. This is the flat version, they also come in convex which gives a bit wider viewing angle.

It sounds like a WRX STI! how do you get any exhaust to have that "gurgling" sound. I have a D16y8 SOHC and I want that deep WRX sound!

@JDMEXforme The internals of the engine are all stock with just the basic boltons. The gurgling sound comes from the unequal length 4-1 header that I am running. The exhaust gasses bump into each other instead of flowing out smoothly. If you want the sound, you may can find a similar 4-1 header for your D but it wouldn't be the best for power. 4-2-1 are a better design. I suppose you could pull a plug wire off of it, that would make it have an uneven rumble :P lolz

A 76 GT1 that most people havent ever heard of, much less seen, w/ roughly only about 500 known to still exist in the world. last integra i built was 357hp half boost. drag raced it until i was so bored i couldnt see straight. I used to be the JDM Elitist too which is why i have over $1000 in this exhaust. sold most of that shit and bought stuff that would win races ;) .....peace

@Banedsigh The 4-2-1 designs are better for low-mid rpm torque while the 4-1 is better for high rpm power. The car is currently being used in autocross where lower rpms are used a lot. When I make the transition back into road racing the 4-1 is slightly better due to using high rpms most of the time. But, I'm switching to a Hytech header which blends the 2 designs. It's currently the best on the market but the most expensive :(

@Banedsigh Yep it defiantly was. The unequal length tubes of the 4-1 gave it the rumble. If you put equal length headers on the Subaru engine it smoothens out and sounds pretty much normal. Since this video, I have went back to a 4-2-1 design and now it sounds like every other honda engine :P
