  • hey great playing :)

Ive recently done a BB king style vid, check it out if you have time ;) thanks

  • Thanks :)

  • slash is a fucking wannabe!

  • @blazingman49 You're a fucking wannabe

  • @ConstantineGuitar awww go whine to your boyfriend you faggot

  • @blazingman49 Uhh cool

    1. You're the one complaining

    2. Slash is pro gay marriage so sit down son

  • slash copied this for the song estranged

  • @slashisclearlyjesus It's not copying if you have no idea who made that. For example,I made an acoustic song and two days later I found out it was actually Tears of the dragon by Bruce Dickinson.

  • @slashisclearlyjesus He copied it from who? Music is to be shared, nobody owns music

  • first, of all please read a biography or two, bewfore you talk about inspiration for musicians. clapton and jimi were from the same era. it was the delta bluesman who inspired hendrix and clapton.

  • sounds kinda like the 'when you were young' (by the killers) mainriff...

  • LeJo82 - it's an A major pentatonic lick

  • @bubnellflyfishers B minor I would say

  • @bubnellflyfishers actually its a combo of A major and A minor pentatonic.

  • dont forget t bone walker either he was a great musician and falls in bb's shadow allot of the time

  • what scale does this come from ? To me that looks like the second position from the minor pent. However that would mean that this lick is in B minor, right ? If you say it's in A(minor?) that would be the third position and some interesting notes used there... I am just starting to understand scales so I'm asking because I really want to know what scale this is...

  • It's a part of a few scales, indeed.

    A minor, B minor,

D minor might be possible as well..

  • it kinda sounds like a jimmy page lick too..

  • Could be - B.B. King influenced JImmy Page

  • yea, anyone who was great at blues, was influenced by BB KING

  • well true and not true....there was also "clapton".

  • but clapton undoughtably learned it from BB.

  • BB King was like the Jimmy Hendrix of Elvis Presley (blues n rocknroll =])

  • BB king came before any of these guys.

  • I was fuckin' kiddin

  • i wasent

  • COOL. THANKS!

  • Thx so much dude, was amazing !

  • O

  • classical here to guys

  • great lick and great vid.

Could you please make a new vid teaching that 2nd lick you play after it in the last few seconds? :)

  • what key is this lick in?

  • Did you read the description?

  • @haywyre62 I'm leaving before I even watch this, just because of your snotty reply. There's no reason for it.

  • Its in A. Its in the description.

  • i don't like the rake at all

    but otherwise, great tips :D

    thank you

  • it reall hurts to bend a whole tone on an acoustic. its all im workin with

  • Know what you mean man, working with a Classical guitar here ouch

  • when you play an electric after the acoustic for so long it feels amazing and you can play faster as well

  • @EvanDeRose Wa Wa Wa Waaaa !

  • Thats a nice lick. I was thinking that it would also be sound pretty sweet if you add a small cromatic run before the second bend on the B string between the A and B notes (frets 10 & 11)

  • Also sounds great with a quick little hammer on from 10 to the bend on 12.

  • thx!

  • million thanks of all your videos posted,i learned a lot,btw what string gauge do you recommend for blues when there's a lot of bending because its not easy to bend string, presently i am using gauge 10 and i break alot especially string #1,i am using Elixir stainless string rite now but it's too hard to bend for me...thanks

  • I normally use 9s or 10s; however, the thicker the stringer, the better the tone. You can stick with your 10s and just tune down a half-step to loosen the strings. That is what most players do, e.g., Hendrix, SRV, Trower, etc.

  • what key and chords does this work over?

  • Key of A. A7 and D7 (or D9) chords.

  • I love your channel thanks alot for helping out!

But could you explain how you get that sound at 1:14.

  • I'm not sure what sound you're talking about. If I made a special sound, it was accidental.

I do use a rake technique before hit a bend. It allows you to really attack the note without hitting those lunar notes.

  • your vids are great they are really really helping me out but i just want to ask you to write exactly which escale you are playing

  • Good lesson nice lick too.

  • i think your vid is amazing, and your vids really help me progress to the next level, i dont see how you could of been any clearer, if you are attempting this surely you can see where his fingers are around the 12??? styme you comment baffles me somewhat! anyways more please 5 stars

  • Very good feedback. I like to zoom in as much as possible and that does not give you a view of the entire fret board. I verbally give the fret position. Perhaps I'll add markers in the video.

  • thanks, just subscribed, can I mention one thing?I've been enjoying your videos but I sure wish that 12th fret marker was more distinctive or you had something with more distinctive markers to use for your lessons.

It would make things SO much easier for me to visualise. thanks for your posts
