  • I made these! They were amazing!!!! I'm going to make them again for all my friends! :D

  • Yum. I'm definitely going to make these.

  • this is DEFIANTLY the food in the book I have most wanted to try.

  • I JUST MADE THESE!!!!!!!!! And might i just say that... MY TASTE BUDS ARE IN LOVE!!!

  • i imagined the buns to be... buns with a square of American cheese melted on top

  • You just stole these from the cookbook.

  • @Jshowni1 We didn't steal it - we acknowledged that the recipe came from the Unofficial Cookbook by Emily Ansara Baines on the end screen of the video and in the video description (and even gave a link to where you can buy it). Though, not all of our playlist's recipes are from there - some are original creations. :-)

  • @Jshowni1 Rude. Clearly you didn't watch the whole video.

  • oh this looked good!! love this video!

  • you look like you could be katniss everdeen

  • just tried this out. sooo tasty. thanks!

  • you remind me of my english teacher... just less demonic

  • They are so good thanks for the recipe!!!

  • do u have to put the butter mix, does it taste ok without it ? plz reply

  • The second way is how Peeta would make them

  • i feel stupid for asking but the degrees are in fahrenheit, yeah?

  • MMMMMM THEY'RE SO BUBBLE AND CHEEEEZY LOL

  • LAMB STEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • do you haver to put in the old bay thing in the butter mix

  • They're pretty okay, but I think if I made them again I'd spread on more of the butter mixture and omit the sugar. Basically the recipe is for Cheddar Bay Biscuits, sort of like they make at Red Lobster's, but adding the sugar to the biscuit just makes them really cloyingly sweet. And sugar's a delicacy in District 12 anyhow, no?

  • I was making cheese bread and since I had all my stuff out I figured I'd whip up a batch of these too. They came out super amazing! I'm fighting myself not to eat a third one right now.

  • OH MY GOSH! ITS LIKE PEETA HAS COME TO LIFE! (In girl form of course.) YOU ARE AWESOME! I'm going to absolutely make these!

  • ITS SO BUBBLY AND CHEESEY! :D That made me laugh!!!

  • And that ommm nom nom at the end was awsome hahahaha!

  • oh my gosh i love you lol i wanna be ur friend!!

  • made these for dinner, my family loooooves them. And they were really fun to make.

  • can we use other type of cheese than cheddar?

  • @imi339 In a pinch, you could use just about anything, but sharp cheddar will give the best/strongest cheese flavor. Most other cheeses are mild in comparison.

  • -12:40am, and hungry-

Me: -Watching this video- ... Why do I do this to myself?

  • I made these to go with dinner tonight and they were so good! I can't wait to see what other recipes you interpret! :)

  • BEST. THING. EVER.

  • This was delicious!! However, if you want the cheese flavor to really stand out, I would add less garlic powder :)

  • @silverleafwisdom xD I guess I'm a bit of a garlic addict, cuz I don't know of such a thing as "less garlic". :D But I would say you DEFINITELY need sharp cheddar cheese to get the most cheese flavor... anything else would be way too mild, so you wouldn't be able to taste the cheese at all. :)

  • OH! And can you try making the all the districts breads?!? that would be awesome!!! Like the seawead bread from district 4, or the cresent shaped one dotted with seeds from district 11!

    ALL THE BREAD :D!

  • I LOVE THESE!!!! I made then for my friends (who are also obsessed with the hunger games) and said "look!!! I can bake just like peeta!!!" they were all so impressed! They all said "wow those must've been super hard to make!" and i said "they were... Just kidding!" and then i told them about your videos and we are watching them every week now! LOVE U ALL! Keep making great videos! <3

  • MAKE A NIGHTLOCK BERRY SMOOTHIE AND SEE WHO CAN SURVIVE THE LONGEST. >:D

  • 4:10 Oh its so bubbly and cheesy!! Look at it!! Its covered in cheese...

    LOL Nom nom nom :)

  • I reallly want to try the district 11 crescent buns - YUM, but I also think that the district 4 seaweed buns would be interesting. It would probably be hard to make them taste good, but maybe if you're running low on recipes you could try it :)

  • makes me hungry just watching the video!!!!

  • I love these books so much! Reading them right now :)

  • I know! You could concoct a drink that makes you throw up!

  • Mmm Peeta buns

  • The right next to each other trick is great! I discovered that this Thanksgiving.

  • I'm going to make all the recipes and eat them as the characters eat them at the premier...or at least try :)

  • Thats awesome :) now you should totally make D4 bread, the crusty, salty, seaweedy one haha or the cream and rose petal soup :)

  • @Sambolina97 I would LOVE to try and make the rose petal soup... but unfortunately, it requires buying organic, non-chemically treated roses, so that they're safe to eat. I've looked into it, but it seems near impossible at this point (well maybe not IMPOSSIBLE, but certainly very very expensive xD).

  • @jillaboo what about bottled rose syrup?

  • How about the bread sent to Katniss from District 11 in The Hunger Games. The crescent shaped one she got after Rue died.

  • oooooooooooooh I want some!!!

  • im totally making these!

  • JILL!

  • YES. Ah so glad you made this! TOTALLY GOING TO TRY TO MAKE THIS.

  • This was really good!! :D - Liam

  • Love this!

  • Looks so yummy! Please continue making these videos! Now I'm tempted to try baking it but the main problem would be I don't have a baking oven >.<

  • @kagomegirl92 Do you have a toaster oven? I lived in an apartment without a regular oven for a while, so I just bought myself a nice big toaster oven, which let me do some baking. :) -Jill

  • @jillaboo Yes I do have a small one. Enough to toast 22cm wide pizza. It doesn't have temperature though. Only by minutes and choice to switch on the top and/or bottom toasting lights (?). According to the manual it will take 2-5 minutes to toast bread and 4-5 minutes for a butter roll. But I'm assuming those are already made and only toasted for that extra crispiness. Do you know roughly how long do I have to put it for?

Sorry but I'm totally new to this as you can see. >.<

  • @kagomegirl92 Ooh... yeah I don't know if you can do much real baking in that. You can definitely experiment with it, though.. it MIGHT be able to do small things like biscuits and rolls. But without a way to control the temperature, it will be difficult. :(

  • @jillaboo That was what I was wondering about. What a pity. Oh well perhaps I shall look for people or friends to see if they are interested! Meanwhile I shall continue to salivate while watching this video! ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ゛

  • You could brush that butter mixture on before you put them in the oven so they brown slightly.

  • can you try and do lamb stew? :) i love your videos!

  • @mymakeupp10 That's definitely on the list. Lamb is expensive, but if I can find a good deal, you bet we'll make the stew! -Rachael

  • MOTHER OF GOSH THEY'RE SO CHEESY

  • ^_^ I'd eat Peeta's buns all day long!

  • Om Nom Nom! They look super yummy :D

  • RISE UP, biscuits. RISE UP AGAINST THE CAPITOL! -Shea

  • @schemestresses I'm glad someone said it!

  • @schemestresses Shea, that may be my favorite comment on any video ever.

  • @schemestresses all the awards
