Were Jesse and Lucy Wilson supposed to be related to Burt Wilson from the first movie? Lucky Thom Mathews has a gorgeous sweet girlfriend in both movies!
@vfIskullangel TRUE SO TRUE TODAY'S SHIT SUX ASS !! THIS IS ORIGINAL AND THRILLING STILL LONG LIVE 70S 80S AND 90S. ALTHOUGH IM BORN ON 1986 BUT STILL...
@wearentaki please dont say they're SUPPOSED to be brain dead cos thats how Romero imagens them. They are SUPPOSED to be dead. Thats all.The rest is up to the person who imagens them. I like skeleton zombies but if everyone thought like you there would be no skeleton zombies. Its your opinion, not fact. K?
Is this meant to be before the first one? Cos they're shipping out the trioxin so i assume this is technicaly the second outbreak with 1st film being the third. Can someone confirm this
@cici2702 Same here! I The last time i saw this was when i was 11 though, It was late night and this was at TNT DELIRIUM (the new TNT MOSNTERVISION) and i loved it, then a few days ago i bought the DVD to see it again and is still enjoyable.
i don't like running zombies when they come out of graves cos their limbs would have seized up so they won't be able to move even if they could they wouldn't move too well, also when zombies can talk it annoys me because their supposed to be brain dead and only remember to feed =/ meh its a film and i'll have to get over it
When this came out, even the advertising scared the snot out of me. (I was only 12 at the time.) "Seven of the living... against an army of the living dead!" I was such a wimp then, lol.
Interesting that they don't play up the comic aspects of the film in the trailer until the very end. With how cartoony the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series had already become, you'd think they'd have wanted to emphasize the humor.
@WHOSTHEONE1 - The budget was $6,000,000, and this is what Tom Fox wanted from the original film, not really what Dan O'Bannon delivered, but hey I love them both.
@WHOSTHEONE1 I enjoyed the movie too but it just wasn't as good as the first one. The kids were unnecessary and there wasn't as much gore. Still, the zombies look fucking great and the music is still awesome.
It basically throws you off a bit because its also kind of a a rehash of part 1, also there's tons of people nowadays who just hate kids and they'll give it a thumbs down just for having a youngster in the movie.
Modern zombie movies are real crappy and irritating because the action is sped up too fast to see anything and the make up is usually just a splash of blood on someones face, etc.
PS Thom Matthews is the best wailing sob the screen has ever seen!
Wow. I thought it was a good movie despite of its comedy. For the people who hate it because of that, I bet you hate Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland.
how did they explain the fact that they used two of the same characters(the boy and the man who ran the supplies shop) in this film??the two of them looked at each other midway through and said..doesn't this seem familiar lol
@mallonmallonmallon They weren't the same two characters exactly. Just the same two actors playing it very similar. They had different names and were Grave Robbers in the second. They even had some of the same lines. "Like THIS JOB!?" They just tried to re create some of the funnier parts of the first.
Yeah, I think each new generation is starting to see the flawed logic in a lot of the old ways of thinking. There will always be stupidity in droves in the world, but I think the human population, the ones that aren't one of the sheeple, are on the rise in number.
I never knew this movie was part of a squeal. I only know is that this movie was my first zombie movie that I watched, but I saw it on Spanish though. I'm glad I know the name of the movie. I was starting to think I will never know the name of it. The only thing that helped me remember something about the movie is the part of the zombie Micheal Jackson. Oh the memories. :)
I wonder why they don't show any of the funny parts on this preview... I mean, all the scenes that were shown would have to be all of the scary parts in the whole movie, haha.
I remember when this was released back in the 80's and being a little horror enthusiast and having a ball with it, amongst many other horror gems of that decade. Though I was only five when this came out, I KNEW WHAT WAS UP. ;-)
Just like how the voice over artist says "Returrrrrn...of the Living Dead Part twoooo" 80's...gotta love it!
Its funny cause in part two the old guy said he don't wanna be buried he wants to be cremated..and the first movie he was cremated hmmmm....lmaoo he still has that annoying cough in both movies......wait is that the same girl from part one to? What were they thinkn? But still a good movie lol.
As much as I love both part one and part and own them..I still am confused why the two male actors who died in part one are alive in part two like nothing ever happnd..hmmm..either way these two were my favorite..didn't care for the other sequels....haahhaha did u see at the end..is that suppose to me a michael jackson look alike zombie getting shocked lmao...no affense to him...but yeah both movies one and two are a must have...
lol, I remember I use to love this movie when I was like 10........That Zombie at the end who looked like Jacko from the thriller video was priceless!!
Scaryest part for me was when the kid was talking on the radio/intercom thing when he had the handgun and that zombie came walking up and he had nowere to go lol.
i love this movie so much. so many memories of when it was first released! we had it on rental and never took it back. i was only about 8!!! i bought it on DVD release but the orginal soundtrack had been removed and replaced with crap
Movies like this are why I want to be cremated when I die. I think the whole thing about the dead rising is pure fantasy that would never happen in real life, but just to be sure!
Yes, I've heard about the "Zombies" in sugar plantations in South America and I've heard that you could reanimate a brain with stem cells, but they don't really count as brain eating zombies. So I have nothing to fear!
There are a lot of people that buy the best coffins and whatever else makes a funeral home rich. If you are religious/ spiritual or atheist, you can agree... You're dead. You really don't care what happens to your body. If families wanted to do something sincerely nice for the departed, they could spend the extra money on something nice for the living, like plant a tree in memory of the dead or use the money to put someone through college. People are still very superstitious about death.
I feel the same way. I wanted to be cremated, but my pastor and my boyfriend (the pastor's son LOL) frown upon that. I wouldn't care if I'm buried in a wooden coffin but I know my family would never agree to it. I'd much rather have the insurance money go towards my daughter and any grandchildren I may have. I do think having my ashes turned into diamonds to give to my loved ones is very cool, but that goes back to cremation and spending that kind of money is frivolous unless you're rich.
@thetrophyone and even when you put six feet of dirt on a coffin, it just gets dirt.....DUH!!! what a waste of money...why buy somthing if its gonna get dirty and cleaned once?
@Bitchesgivehigh5s I don't know why so many people buy into it...Honestly, I'm 23 and at this point in my life, I realize more and more ever day that the things , things I was raised to feel serious about, that most others take very seriously or hold near sacred, and the behavior that goes with them, seem very weird and confusing to me. I imagine this is a feeling that's going to last the rest of my life...but that overtime, the sense of being outside looking in will diminish.
@Bitchesgivehigh5s Yeah, about 10 yrs. ago, my friend and I used to play "Castlevania 2 : Simon's Quest" for the NES. I don't know if you've ever played it, but at night time, if you are in a town, these green zombies are EVERYWHERE and they'll chase you. My friend and I used talk about how bad ass it would be if that would happen in our town. I always said I'd hang out on my roof and shoot them. But it'd never happen because real life isn't that cool. Hence why video games were invented...
@thetrophyone LMAO...def would be the shit...yeah ive heard of it i played the 1st one....i like dead rising..cant wait for dead rising 2....PS3 finally. Resident evil is legit but there not zombies anymore...just people with bugs in dem heads...I want fast or slow things that chase you down and will do anything to eat you. no politicallyy correct zombies.
@thetrophyone When I die, I don't want a super fancy coffin. Besides. Who cares if my corpse is "comfortable"? And sealing the coffin well just makes corpses turn into goo. Or at very least speeds up deterioration.
Lorimar? Didn't they make "Full House" as well? I want a cross over where the "Full House" characters race to board up windows and stay alive while fighting the army of the undead. Kimmy Kibler could also become a zombie. When Kimmy is in Zombie form, everyone finds it REAL easy to whail on her ass. Finally, the movie comes to a head where Danny and his daughters must confront the reanimated corpse of the wife/mother they lost so long ago. Will the family survive?!? That would be awesome!
Great sequel.

I do think having my ashes turned into diamonds to give to my loved ones is very cool, but that goes back to cremation and spending that kind of money is frivolous unless you're rich.

it's your body not theirs, don't let them rule your life

@thetrophyone I wish Zombies were really... :(...and agreed.

@thetrophyone i love you for that commentary

THIS IS better than the other sequels, yet nothing beats the original 84 classic

wouldnt they be stuck in their coffins? no one thinks about that before they make these
cmrfudge 2 years ago 4
I guess the hunger for brains gives them the strenght to break through the coffin and dig out.
