Yow... its allways great to see/hear that there are people outthere with EXACTLY the same musical taste that i have... LOVE ALL 80's synth music. I bet u'd like Howard Jones' music as well! Can u do Mike Oldfield's stuff too? Keep up the good work...i'm loving it!
Is the JX doing the arpeggio and the flute sound? I love this song, mostly cause I can play it as well. It's one of the easier ones to play. Their new music contains more effects than straight up chords and arpeggios and it's harder to pick out synth parts to play.
Hi there, my friend and I visited a music store yesterday and we had a go on a Roland keyboard and tried getting the "Save a Prayer" sound as you demonstrate here?Would you mind telling me what settings you used? When we go back to college we'll probably have an attempt on the college's only Roland :) Thanks.
Hmm, I'm sure suggesting ideas for new covers is pretty commonplace on your videos, but how do you feel about "The Great Commandment" by Camouflage? ... Just a thought. :) (Excellent job, btw!)
My band used to cover this song during my high school days. I played bass back then. All we had for keyboards was a Roland SH-101, but it sounded quite decent. Watching this definitely put me on a trip down memory lane. You did an awesome job. Cheers!
@thornboy It is really a portamento effect. Keeping the same arpeggio type sequence, switching portamento on and varying time up and down. I've got "Arena" on Vinyl and CD.
Very well done!!!! I hate to pry but how much does it cost for those keyboards? I have 7 guitars nowadays and just play them but I use to have keyboards back in the 80's and miss playing them.

@RIPmyers it depends who and where you buy it from. Classic Roland analog 'boards are typically $500 and upwards.
