Heard about your fight. I'll not mess with you! Oy! When I was 12 an older kid went after my younger brother on our front step. Didn't help that he provoked him. So he came over an thought he'd smash by brothers face. I tried to talk the situation down but that wasn't going to happen. So I stood between them and they both hit me. My brothers punch was worse! So I socked the other person a year older and a foot higher.
@robcas631 I pegged him directly on the forehead. My grandfather was a boxer and I was taught well. Anyway he spent over night in a hospital with a concusion. The following day we made up and shook hand. This is why I hate to fight! Never got into a fist fight since.
1 argument..i was at Piccadilly Gardens manchester...night out at rock world! he had a drunk stare outside the chippy for no reason at all..chip muffin in one hand threw a punch and fell flat on his face lol...chips everywhere :D ..shortly after i totally enjoyed my late night snack haha

@zuniworld That lifestyle caught up with me and I've had two Heart Attacks, the last one required me to be shocked three times before I got to the Hospital. Got all opened up and things are fine, but should get a bit more exercise. I may have a drink when I go out to dinner. Don't miss it. Still smoke occasionally, which is stupid though. I think I used it to offset my shyness. These days, if I was a female, I'd be called a brazen hussy. : D
Try this again. Growing up, fighting was a part of the process. As an adult in the Service, bar fights were not all that uncommon and mostly provoked by others. My participation was mostly as self preservation as I wasn't involved in the original argument and it just erupted around me. Later after I got out, I used to hang out in some pretty rough places and fights seemed to be part of the entertainment. Again, it was mostly self preservation on my part and I did try to protect the ladies.
I was in a couple of fights, the last one over 15yrs ago, I'm glad to say, mostly alcohol induced, never with women, I'm also glad to say, and no John Woo material, 'cause I'm sure they all looked stupid. (Maybe not all, but I'd be embarrassed to brag.) Love, not war, I say. OK, I may be proud of some reactions when I was provoked, just because they made me realise that I could stand up for myself, which was important for me, being quite shy. I hope my confessions didn't violently bore you.

During that time, there was always someone who didn't necessarily agree with things or just plain didn't like folks in uniform ( sense where this going yet? ). The trick was getting the job done and get gone before the law ( civilian or military ) showed up. Actually I was more of a wrestler than boxer. Did have a bit of a problem explaining a broken jaw once. : )
