the major problem i have in going into serato video right now.. is the fact you have to have the TTM. i already have a djm800 and a midi sound card... would be nice to just be able to use midi. props on the video but i guess i have to wait til they come out with the next version or an update with midi input.

now you can buy cdj900 with midi options,i have 2x denon dns 3700 midi/cd decks,ordered top laptop and will buy midi mixer( i guess will be korg zero 4 or pioneer djm700),i want all connected,setup plugins and that is it:)

my unit was faulty from the factory. $1700 mixer + plug in. mickey mouse construction okay for the bedroom. not worth the trouble.

support is minimal. two months in authorized repair shop. got it back traded it on craigslist for a hydroponic tomato lab. virtual vinyl junk. serato junk. video is still in its infancy no real demand for a vj. not cost effective. glad u like it though. take care.

Dude I been up since 7pm Friday night. It is now 1:30 Saturday. Dont want to trash talk but this shit does not work well out the box. Crossfader doesnt fade. Immediate support is subject to rane forums which is no help. Virtual Vinyl was pretty straight forward out the box but a little amateurish but damn this shit is complicated and I am pretty savvy. And whats with Serato not letting me see my folders? Was hoping to ride out with it tonte but I will set it aside for now Back to Traktor Scratch

Nope sorry. It was $2200.00 with the flight case. But mind you I just bought and sold Virtual Vinyl prior to watching your video. The sound card works best with VDJ. Numark Cue continued to crash. Sold it to a Bedroom DJ. Thanks again.

Steel. Thanks to your video I just went and got the mixer and video sl plugin at GC. Thanks to your tip I also purchased the VisualHUB. Works sweet. Still got to get used to the mixer and the program. I have been following FS since version 1. Traktor 3 with Audio 8 Dj is rock solid and I know it like the back of my hand but the Video plugin seems far away if non existent. Very Informative video. Hope you are getting royalties cause I just blew about $2200.00 not including the new flight case.

Yo i got my SERATO VIDEO-SL and it looks OTHING like that all it is, is a DISC with some stickers, ad it cost me 220 from the Guitar Center, of course NO ONE UP THERE know annything about it, nor how to use it. why is yours a peace of hardware and mine is just a disc?

You need to purchase the Video plugin separately for like $200. Video only works with the TTM 57SL as of now.

Visual Hub doesnt rip the dvd in use mactheripper then use visual hub to convert the vob files to mp4's make sure to select h.624 encoding

Hey watched your video.. Nice.. But I can't get nearly the same resolution as my VOB files. I'm using visual Hub. What am I doing wrong? I see lines and the faster the video is the worse it looks. Thanks I have like 8,000 videos to convert and I'm trying to get it right the first time.

If you use a MAC, you can also use Toast 8 and the Media Browser (from Window menu in Toast~'Show Media Browser') to rip Promo Only videos to mp4. That works great and you have a lot of options for encoding including advanced features.

your right. I forgot about that 200.00 charge. I also forgot to add in having to buy Virtual DJ, Virtual Vinyl and 5 sound cards, and 2 mixers to experiment with VDJ to get it to work right. Forgot those costs too. My bad. Oh and 2 hercules DJ consoles.
