  • This is totally shit. They are all innocent. This is not a act of justice but a political agenda, The people who are doing this are friends of the devil. Well anyway it dont matter much when they do find him guilty with made up and fake proofs the people will open the mind and rise. Look at Egypt now they killed the leader of the muslim brotherhood "Syed Qutb" in 1966 now they have the while country moving.

  • Why is aljazeera being biased when reporting this news?

  • this war criminals involved with mass murder, rape, looting, arson, and forcing Hindus to convert to Islam.

  • These trials are a diversion by the government and have no relevance. The government uses these trials to divert attention from their poor economic performance and lack of development policies in Bangladesh. One day these thugs will be overthrown.

  • Such hypocrisy!!! America and Great Britain should be ashamed!!!

  • I am ashamed by the corruption in my country. With every new government formed every 4 or 5 years, it seems like a race to the bottom.

  • @uncouthtownie That's America for you.

  • All these fake left progressive organizations listed are grossly corrupt. I don't know what's real about this war crimes tribunal, but this chap seems like a war profiteer media wh*re arguing to allow a war criminal trial by courts over which he may have sway. It's no major stain on Bangladesh's history to prosecute a real war criminal to prison for war crimes. Possibly the trial rigging is to silence Sayedee's implicating other war criminals who are still active in the government.

  • This "Kangaroo Court" accepts newspaper reports and hearsay evidences, which goes against the core concept of justice. It had refused to correct the 17 serious faults recommended by IBA. All investigators, prosecutors and judges are party men of the ruling coalition. It will not try the 195 Pakistani army officers initially identified as war criminals by the court of justice. It will also not try the ruling party men who committed war crimes, including killing the Biharis in 1971.

  • @1harunrashid

It should all be admissible really. It forces the defendant to defeat the evidence by presenting what's real, IF the evidence presented is bogus, but if the defendant is innocent and chooses to air his side, justice will prevail, regardless of how much bogus evidence is presented. After the defendant defeats even 1 piece of the evidence presented against him, it puts the prosecution on the defense, juries generally won't convict if there's no PHYSICAL evidence.

  • @1harunrashid

I recognize it as gross corruption that these other war criminals be exempted from prosecution by their cronies, but I don't think Sayedee is innocent. The leaders on both sides of every political skizm are generally aligned in murdering the under class. So, probably he's guilty and is going to get justice. That others won't get justice til later is a shame, but it doesn't make his getting justice unjust.

  • This trial is not going to help with the political situation in BD. The country is already in political anarchy. He is a prominent political figure and AL party is simply provoking the matter so they can unleash their thugs(CL).

After forty years it's hard to prove of his support of the war. Unless he has participated on the war crimes, so without proof to prosecute someone, I would say that's inhumane.

  • what does this baldy lawyer want? take the case to ICC? can ICC prosecute bush, blair or cheney? is there any evidence that ICC is unbiased towards the winning party? i guess not. so mr. baldy can whine about illegitimacy because he is not making any money off a stage show in hague. bangladesh govt can lock up these people in their own country with full support of their people and a fraction of the cost.

  • Pakistan already accepted their war crimes in Bangladesh, unlike the USA.

    God bless USA!

  • extremist do not deserve any rights

  • @DJmixmastermicro theres no problem with islam except the people that follow it - theres no problem with christianity cept the people that follow it - stop being so narrow minded

  • @rafiqul84. so you think old testanment, revelation, sharia law, hadith and koran are just nothing but pretty cute puppy stories. stop being so ignorant with a fat mouth.

  • @DJmixmastermicro lol puppy stories u shut up... ur a puppy... bloody puppy kutti

  • @rafiqul84 oh sorry you must be a dog then. you have a dog fetish.

  • @DJmixmastermicro say wallahi

  • @rafiqul84 . sorry not interested in your primitive dog language LOL!!

  • @DJmixmastermicro isit? say wallahi

  • what's up with news reader?

  • This is nothing but politically motivated...!!

  • Delwar Hossain Sayedee is a great man, I have met him. What proof does Awamileague have against him? They just want to get rid of their opposition party in the name of war crimes.

  • @ByChoiceMuslim The only people who would say what you just said are jamate supporters. Same type of extremist people who try and justify terrorism. You are a disgrace.

  • @SanjediMasta I don't support any political groups in Bangladesh. I am just asking for proof.

  • They are war criminals, so they should pay for their crime.

  • @falcon010216 ye, but still needs to be fair.

  • The Bangladeshi War Crimes Tribunal is unfair, not the war crimes themselves AlJazeera - do you even watch your own reports?

  • @EllyMcCormack

lol, that is what it looks like. No proof reading makes for a quicker product of text highly likely to contain glaring errors. Millions were killed by Pakistani army of Punjabis in B'desh, the most favorite targets of killing being Hindus, anyone considered leftist and secular.

  • @damnitboyzz jeez thanks for the heads up. Yeah what occurred in Bangladesh is a barely commented-on topic in Britain - despite many immigrants here being from the region.

  • @EllyMcCormack

No problems, mate. I would write a bit about why there is silence on that despite most immigrants from S. Asia. I would reply to you from a new account. The country you see in my profile is not where I am from. I am from the biggest country in that region:-) Will revert back, later in some hours. Have a good one.

  • @EllyMcCormack

While it may be a quick typo (which I've seen before on AJ, as the internet isn't their primary mode of communication)- it's still accurate, right?
