The video has obviously missed the moments prior to the song, which I am assuming would indicate the setup for the laughter. The performance, while not Elvis-like, is far from a live audience chuckling over a serious take. Clearly a comedic moment, the producers who made Knight Rider, got the very right man for the job. Sure, he's a bit of a goof now, but so is Jerry Lewis, and was Don Knots in his later years. Guy's good. You gotta be able to laugh at yourself.
