The video is dated June 2004. Even the Z06 Corvette was not produced until the third quarter of 2005. Mallett was way ahead of the scene to supercharge an LS7 back in 2004.
that's not an ls7..the ls7 was used in the z06 corvette...the cts-v at least this model year used the 5.7 liter ls6 engine...sorry to get technical just giving you the information

That thing sounded so mean at the shootout; as for the sound the video doesn't do it any justice. When it echoed all around MIS it sounded like a damn 747 jet at full throttle. It was pretty damn sweet.

whoever is driving when it finally got goin half through video , fuckin sucks, bad, is it their first time drivin a stick shift? missed every gear and launch was horrible, thank god the car is so fuckin nasty that we can overlook this

However, with that much horsepower it was really just the poor audio that made it sound like a bad launch and gear shifts. This guy wasnt on a 1/4 track, remember. Getting upwards of 800hp down to two wheels while getting on the track without spinning the car isnt easy.. Listen to his shifts on the track - spot on.
In turn 3-4 there is a set of cones to go around that made you slow down to around 35mph. The goal then was to get to 150mph then to a dead stop. This was the winning pass of the 2004 Car & Driver Shoot out.

@norcalnorway - Sure is an LS7 7.011Liter (427.8cu in).. any Mallet special edition came with that block. Solstice has a Mallet version as well.
