  • Glad to see my former guitar teacher making a name for himself and Stillwater!

  • I came here because of the radiohead concert last night too! Other Lives sounded great last night!

  • Ear orgasm!!!!!!!!!!

  • these guys opened for radiohead last night :D

  • Thumbs up if you came here because they opened for Radiohead!

  • Thank you for this song. I come back to it over and over.

  • If you're going to pay tribute to Kubrick's work, leave the monolith unchanged. This video is a lame rip off.

  • This song haunts me in the most beautifully incomprehensible way ever. And for that, I am utterly thankful.

  • good stuff. just read the gazette article and had to come listen. :)

  • I was wondering what a hipster version of the White Album would sounds like.

  • This video tell's me that the world doesn't end I die....It moves on and I will be just a memory if I am lucky to have someone to remember...

Yes folks, life does move on and we will not see the great future ahead of us......how depressing it is to realise that..............might as well top myself now............

But if we did all top ourselves because of this fact then we would never move on as a race.......as cruel as we are, we still have love somewhere don't we?

  • @hoopeydoopey this sounds completely retard congratulations now you can park everywhere

  • Watch the film "Moon", so much a rip off but I like it xxxxxxx

  • @hoopeydoopey in what way exactly, does this video have anything to do with moon? is it cause they are both set in space?

  • this song is amazing!!! come back to the bay area!! and hey check out the COVER OF MGMT'S "ELECTRIC FEEL" BY ADVENTURE BOOK! Sooo good!!

  • cool song, but Kubrick's rolling in his grave.

  • @justinsane831 i disagree, if kubrick had any artistic integrity he would be glad that this amazing new band made a nod at his work. it's not a rip off, it's inspired by it.

  • at 2:34 the rock looks like alien

  • Oklahoma represent

  • Other Lives are wonderful. They opened on a tour with Bat for Lashes back in 2009. I saw them. Wonderful performers.

  • this is ok. as far as radiohead openers go i thought Liars were about 100X more exciting than this band, but maybe these guys will change my mind when i see them.

  • I'm going to see these guys soon with Radiohead:) Can't wait.

  • @talk45 lucky!!!! i tried getting tickets right at 11:00 but they were sold out instantly!!! noooo!

  • @nodnarb4166 I actually got very lucky because I got tickets during RH's presale which should have been virtually impossible.

  • I just love this band.

This track in particular brings essences of John Lennon and Thom Yorke. Oh, yeah.

  • ode to one of the greatest films that will ever be made

  • Radiohead brought me here. Thanks RH.

  • radiohead, bon iver and other lives all playing at Coachella this year

  • I'm gonna be there AA Arena!!!!!

  • not only they have amazing songs but their vidéo are beautifuls

  • Just recently went to my second Other Lives concert, and I have to say that no matter how many times you hear them, its just as amazing as the very first time.

  • Oh I'm so in love with this. Moves me much like Pink Floyd's Echoes. Epic.

  • ooooouuuuu i really like this song....

  • muito bom!

  • DEMAIS!!

  • excelente bandaaa!

  • 'How to disappear completely' sound and 'No Surprises' helmet :D anyway I love it! beautiful video too

  • This song really sounds like Radiohead´s "How To Disappear Completely"

  • @69zemaria I thought that as soon as I heard it!!! That's one of my favourite songs ever written.

  • @69zemaria Funny, they're going to open for Radiohead in Arizona when I see them.

  • @69zemaria They're Thom Yorke's favorite band from America and they start their tour with Radiohead tomorrow night in Miami, FL.

  • @69zemaria no way!!

  • Just saw them play in Denver a couple nights ago with JBM. One of the best live shows I've been to.

  • calling Major Tom....

  • I think it was during this song, at their show, when I first realized, "this might be the closest I have felt to being on something, without being on anything."

  • This song takes me, holds me, and don't let me go..

  • If I had to make a comparison, it sounds like The National/Fleet Foxes hybrid. Very good band.

  • fantastic song, really stunning

  • This song is a haunting beauty that evokes tears of pure bliss.

  • So good live - thanks for coming to SF guys!!

  • Thome yorke also put them on his office list like a year ago

  • just stunning.

  • a new band for me to love

  • Genius!

Makes you want to kill yourself but yet it saves you all in the same thought....

  • OMG! it has been years since I've heard a band this good! THERE IS A GOD!

  • bloody brill song and vid! thx!!!

  • how to disappear completely

  • Every time I listen to this song, I need to recover afterwards - as if I've been in another place...

  • You guys just blow me away. Been looking for something new for a long time, finally found it

  • Amazing fresh sound, that puts me into the same mental space as listening to Moody Blues' Seventh Sojourn LP or Eyes of a Child. You guys are going places!! Hope to see you live sometime very soon.

  • This band is smart and evocative. Producing amazing music video work these days is basically unheard of. They are quickly becoming my new favorite band. Most beautiful music, the singer's voice is haunting. Swwwwoooon swoon swoon! and SWOON some more!

  • I was at their first sold-out concert in Europe Thursday! :D

They are really really good live, I'm sure they will become HUGE, it's just a matter of time! :)

  • ummmm...they are opening for Radiohead. I think all the talk about making it can stop. They are living a musicians dream.

  • BARELY got tickets to see Radiohead in Atlanta March 1st. Wanted to see what these guys were all about. I'm diggin it!

  • heard them on KEXP podcast, immediately had to look them up. Very good song

  • Came to see who was opening up for Radiohead. This tour is going to be pretty bad assed, yo.

  • These guys! Geez Louise, can't wait to see them with radiohead!

  • my friend is related to the lead singer too! literally just found out about this band today. amazing stuff here. can't believe i've been missing out on this for so long!

  • un peu de country sur les bords...ça déboîte!!!!

  • Yet another reason to love Radiohead...they chose Other Lives to open on the tour.

  • @SINYbarb Yet another reason to love Other Lives...THEY opened for the greatest band to ever exsist!

  • @SINYbarb It's also the same reason to love Bon Iver

  • @luisalonsoecheverria yep, totally agree about Bon Iver, looking forward to seeing him on SNL

  • Luckiest band in the world..... theyre touring with Radiohead

  • @RuleTheRadio23 radiohead is touring with them! :O

  • @HoID1 Oh Please.... trust me, you do not want to start this conversation. ha just kidding

  • @RuleTheRadio23 What you're trying to say, is that Radiohead must be the luckiest band in the world to tour with Other Lives. Radiohead released a shitty album this year, while this track is one of the best songs of 2011!

  • Just discovered this group from the NPR Tiny Desk Sessions. Now I need them like a drug. Unbelievable talent, combined with a refreshing new/ classic sound if that makes sense. I actually feel blessed I stumbled upon them and I can only hope for the best and that they keep making music! Forever grateful!

  • I love this band. I love their style. I love their sound. If Ennio Morricone had formed a rock band, this would be that band.

  • WOW ! Great song, great vid. Hope to see much more!

  • these guys must have just watched 2001: A Space Odyssey

  • @Capriciou5

It's more likely they just watched Radiohead with 'how to disappear completely'

  • Great song guys, love the vid to :-)

  • Jenny Huston sent me here, i love your sound it's so haunting and inspirational even on a rainy tuesday in my fogged up Skoda Octavia

  • very good song and a very well made video as well

  • saw these guys open for Bon Iver. Very impressed.

  • 3:24 ILLUMINATI

  • The opening sounds a bit like the live version of Electric Bloom by Foals! Love this!

  • lOVE THIS BAND! SAw them last night support Chapel Club! I'm hooked.. can't wait to see them again

  • @Diablablanca Same here, the atmosphere and sound was beautiful. I thought they were better than Chapel Club. Great sound, great live band.

  • legit hahaha good effects

  • 2001: Space Odyssey anyone?

  • Looped and looped and looped and it feels like forever...

  • lol the video reminds me of mass effect

  • I dont know who who did the video for you guys Jessie but it rocks ^^

  • Never mind 'click here to buy' put on your choice of footwear and call into your local indep. music shop in my case Ben O'Neills Dungarvan Co. Waterford ands buy a copy and be happy - and keep help indep. music shops alive :-)

  • thats a good like/dislike ratio

  • why ao underrated??

  • I know this is the official video but I actually love the other one (couple under water) way more! Thanks to a good friend I now know this band and I just had to write a blog post about it, Sleepless Nights, on my blog Line From a Lyric. Make sure to check it out and the other video!!

  • Lol at references to Illuminati, HAARP, Chemtrails and Aliens

  • fucking sick song, how'd they pay for that vid fucking flashy stuff

  • this dude can't even drive in stillwater, what in the world made anybody think it would be a good idea to give him a spaceship?

    video is very 2001 A Space Odyssey inspired .. . .

  • this song has the best chance for a hit

i've heard a about a dozen tunes which sound beautiful, and this one has the most recognizable hook

saw this band in l.a. and thought its was the old moody blues, crimson or genesis. i love this sound but the band needs distinction in there songs without churchy sounds 90% of the time. they raised goose bumps for me

watching and listening. very high quality musicians live and a premium lead voice maybe they could cover a moody blues tune. buy album

  • love this, also would like to hear the girl doing lead vocals for a song!

  • the repeat button of my stereo broke after i heard this song...

  • Good music...

  • i just went crazy trying to figure out where id heard something from the song 'how to disappear completely' by radiohead, AND I FOUND IT. both are glorious, though.

  • Wonderful music, amazing video... Wow. Wow. Wow.

Musique magnifique, clip incroyable. Wow. Wow. Wow.

  • Deep, Magic, worked, that's all, that's It !

  • Where have you guys been... this is amazing music after a while and thanks to Sander Kleinenberg I was listening to one of his mixes and this sounded just too beautiful...

  • This is real Indie. No VEVO shit :)

  • @pithikoulis yeah, real indie considering the budget for the video...drop the pretense, just enjoy the song

  • @Velocirappa What's the budget for the video? Still it doesn't matter. Many indie artists have gone to profs to make video clips. That doesn't make them less indie.

  • @pithikoulis lmao @ the concept of something being "indie" in 2011. google search "indie rock" and you get over 53 million results. google "other lives", you get over 96 million. this band is signed to TBD records, formerly Side One. The parent company of TBD is ATO Recordings. move up another tier and ATO is owned by RCA Records, which is owned by SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. SME is the second-largest global recorded music company of the "big four" record companies. GET THE PICTURE YET?

  • @Velocirappa The concept changed because of how things changed in music industry. If you are going to dig so deep into things then the only indie music is the one that 15year old ones play. 20 years ago indie labels were the majority in the market. Nowadays they are counted in your fingers. So as long as those labels in the past have the same policies as whatever label owned by whoever, it's indie enough for me.

  • I saw them by accident during Lowlands festival last august in the Netherlands. Didn't know them back then but I just had to listen to this pure brilliance

  • Lead singer, Jesse Tabish, is my third cousin. So proud. These guys are going to make it huge, I hope!

  • @AestheticUniverse

Well i am hearing them right now in switzerland, so chances are high (and deserved) :-)

  • @AestheticUniverse NOT AS BIG AS THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS, AND WHY I SAY THAT BAND IS BECAUSE JESSE TABISH ALMOST HELPED START THAT BAND

  • @reedster411 You're probably right. They might not have the same level of commercial success with a mainstream band like The All-American Rejects, good point. But still, I do certainly wish them the best of success and hope they make it big to whatever degree they do.

  • @AestheticUniverse

We Okies are sooo awesome. lol

  • @ALacunae Hey, it's true! ;)

  • @AestheticUniverse great voice, you should be proud and he better let you chill when they go on tour with radiohead

  • @dreaminglucidly139 Thanks! Yes, I'm proud. Though a third cousin, my family is still close to his. Yup, hope he lets me chill with them.

  • Seeing them with Bon Iver at the Shrine in a couple weeks. Should be an AMAZING night!

  • 1. start the song.

    2. Imagine you're a cowboy riding a horse.

    3. Enjoy

  • 2001:A Space Odyssey

For 12: A Hella Good Video.

  • this video was Nasa's launch of the first beard into space

  • wow...masterpiece!!!

  • The Lead singer is my 1st cousin, Jesse Tabish. Hope you make it big!!!

  • for some reason i listen to this song every time i read the outsiders.

  • *jawdrop* amazing

  • @indycindyXxG Absolutely!!!

  • magnifique

  • Oh. My. God. This was truly and tear-jerkingly wonderful.

  • first of all, this is nothing like doves... this is so much better than fleet foxes or pink whatever, and thom yorke voice was good then, but not now... too whiney , and doves is pretty bad.... Other lives is completely underrated

  • i think i hate bon iver, other lives opens for them in berkeley, sold out way too early for me... ive seen them once... but i need one more

  • @Morpheus94080 to what extent do you think you being at their concerts more than once contribute to their 'selling out'? Philosophical/ semantic question.

  • This is simply a masterpiece!

  • It gave me almost a Pink Floyd feeling, especially with the triangle. Almost like a homage to Dark Side of the Moon. Bone Chilling!

  • How come these guys aren't more popular? ... the music video alone just makes my brain melt...

  • i love. this song. way too much.

  • yes. yes! yeeeeeeeees

  • Reminds me of the band Doves. Good.

  • Radiohead meets Fleet Foxes meets Pink Floyd
