This video tell's me that the world doesn't end I die....It moves on and I will be just a memory if I am lucky to have someone to remember...
Yes folks, life does move on and we will not see the great future ahead of us......how depressing it is to realise that..............might as well top myself now............
But if we did all top ourselves because of this fact then we would never move on as a race.......as cruel as we are, we still have love somewhere don't we?
@justinsane831 i disagree, if kubrick had any artistic integrity he would be glad that this amazing new band made a nod at his work. it's not a rip off, it's inspired by it.
this is ok. as far as radiohead openers go i thought Liars were about 100X more exciting than this band, but maybe these guys will change my mind when i see them.
Love this band... glad I caught them before the big rollercoaster music machine takes them away from the people! Love to other lives... cheers to a genuine set of musicians x Go to this web page and feel the love of this exceptional band ... shazwellyn.hubpages.com/hub/Other-Lives
Just recently went to my second Other Lives concert, and I have to say that no matter how many times you hear them, its just as amazing as the very first time.
I think it was during this song, at their show, when I first realized, "this might be the closest I have felt to being on something, without being on anything."
Makes me proud to be an Okie! Tremendously excited to see them next week here in Santa Cruz, CA (I'm not the first Okie to be seduced by California :-)
Amazing fresh sound, that puts me into the same mental space as listening to Moody Blues' Seventh Sojourn LP or Eyes of a Child. You guys are going places!! Hope to see you live sometime very soon.
This band is smart and evocative. Producing amazing music video work these days is basically unheard of. They are quickly becoming my new favorite band. Most beautiful music, the singer's voice is haunting. Swwwwoooon swoon swoon! and SWOON some more!
my friend is related to the lead singer too! literally just found out about this band today. amazing stuff here. can't believe i've been missing out on this for so long!
@RuleTheRadio23 What you're trying to say, is that Radiohead must be the luckiest band in the world to tour with Other Lives. Radiohead released a shitty album this year, while this track is one of the best songs of 2011!
Just discovered this group from the NPR Tiny Desk Sessions. Now I need them like a drug. Unbelievable talent, combined with a refreshing new/ classic sound if that makes sense. I actually feel blessed I stumbled upon them and I can only hope for the best and that they keep making music! Forever grateful!
Never mind 'click here to buy' put on your choice of footwear and call into your local indep. music shop in my case Ben O'Neills Dungarvan Co. Waterford ands buy a copy and be happy - and keep help indep. music shops alive :-)
I know this is the official video but I actually love the other one (couple under water) way more! Thanks to a good friend I now know this band and I just had to write a blog post about it, Sleepless Nights, on my blog Line From a Lyric. Make sure to check it out and the other video!!
i've heard a about a dozen tunes which sound beautiful, and this one has the most recognizable hook
saw this band in l.a. and thought its was the old moody blues, crimson or genesis. i love this sound but the band needs distinction in there songs without churchy sounds 90% of the time. they raised goose bumps for me
watching and listening. very high quality musicians live and a premium lead voice maybe they could cover a moody blues tune. buy album
i just went crazy trying to figure out where id heard something from the song 'how to disappear completely' by radiohead, AND I FOUND IT. both are glorious, though.
Where have you guys been... this is amazing music after a while and thanks to Sander Kleinenberg I was listening to one of his mixes and this sounded just too beautiful...
@Velocirappa What's the budget for the video? Still it doesn't matter. Many indie artists have gone to profs to make video clips. That doesn't make them less indie.
@pithikoulis lmao @ the concept of something being "indie" in 2011. google search "indie rock" and you get over 53 million results. google "other lives", you get over 96 million. this band is signed to TBD records, formerly Side One. I saw them by accident during Lowlands festival last august in the Netherlands. Didn't know them back then but I just had to listen to this pure brilliance
@reedster411 You're probably right. They might not have the same level of commercial success with a mainstream band like The All-American Rejects, good point. But still, I do certainly wish them the best of success and hope they make it big to whatever degree they do.
