They are releasing a multiplayer beta this year. Gearbox will licsence it and the developer team has a bit more than 30 people in it by the name of Interceptor. There website is duke nukem reloaded.com

For the love of GOD, please add in an easy to use, multiplayer setup, that does not involve Steam... just something that works, something that I can get some friends together easily to play multiplayer. I hope this is what people have been really wanting for some time... fast action, exploring, new areas but still the same old duke3d. Hopefully Levelord or someone experienced works on the levels and gameplay testing, we need the excitement and satisfaction the old duke had, different than DNF...

In the video you say the permission to make Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded was given by George Broussard and Scott Miller.It was actually given by Gearbox because they now own the IP.George and Scott never allowed such things when they owned the IP.

Yeah man, I actually only recently came across this myself. I'm not getting my hopes up as it looks like it's only very early in the development, maybe one or two levels from Hollywood Holocaust done or part done. But like you said, it'll be great if they finish this. I'm currently waiting, myself, for Blackmesa to be released. It's a mod remaking Half-life 1 in the Source Engine w w w. blackmesasource.c o m

@AsafSchnider Just checked the wikipedia article and it looks like the games weren't canceled per se, but they will no longer carry the Duke Nukem name. They are going to be renamed, Extraction Point: Alien Shootout.... Presumably the gameplay will be the same, but all references to Duke Nukem's universe will be removed. :\
