I met an Australian recently and was asked her about how they are treated now..she said they live on the streets and are so poor that the ones who are dependent on alcohol, cannot even buy that. Instead they rely on other forms of abusive drugs. So no, Aboriginals are still not treated as normal members of Australian society.
