Thanks Drew. All the coins we find are the result of many hours of hard hunting. people don't realize these video's represent 7 hunters, 10 hour a day for 3 weeks, twice a year. My last England video HDS #20 represent 1,420 man hours of detecting, All finds were recorded properly, so they are a recorded part of the history of your country they just don't physicaly reside there. Many finds are acquired by the Colchester and British Museums.
i realy do hate the fact many of the coins that are found make its way across the pond to disapear from our history, also the fact that somehow you always seem to find gold over here when us fortunate ones who are here dont find things half as good.. good luck nyway
i love your videos do you think that some of the gold objects could have been planted for you to find to keep you interested in paying for expensive trips to england i say this because it has taken thousands of hours over twenty years to find 10 gold coins. it may be that you have picked some great sites , some of your finds are first class, have only managed to video celtic gold stater so far, please watch my videos many thanks by ringfinder1962.ie,please leave some gold for us jammy bugger.
Let me guess . . YOUR old man was one of the many complaining about all the brit tail MY old man was pulling out of london every evening while scraping your collective rears off the nazi bootheel every afternoon. some things never change i guess. 8th air force saved 'YOUR' country's history mate. you seem to dig your history about as well as you fight nazis, leaving plenty for us yanks to do!
@maxhoffa We had already saved our selves mate 2 years before you joined the war, don't learn your history by watching holywood movies!....you seem to to take our treasure a lot better than you fought Vietnam..
@alfreddunn03 Saved yourselves!? Yes Alfred . . . with your sea lanes near completely choked off, buzz bombs landing in Picadilly, and your 'fleet' getting parked on the bottom of Scappa Flow, it's a wonder that Churchy bothered groveling to us yanks for help at all! You had the mess well in hand all right. Jerry was on the ropes.
@maxhoffa At least we wern't a country that looked the other way, while the evil Nazis ran amock killing and torturing millions, like some countries i could name who profited from it?
Russians lost 25 million and we had our city's flattened, lets make a hollywood movie on how America saved us all...no class and no respect!..
@alfreddunn03 Um, hello . . . Neville Chamberlain ring a bell? Your country didn't just 'look the other way,' you helped pave the road. Spot on about the Russians, thank god for them, they won the war. Just don't go telling people that you brits 'saved yourselves' when history (not movies, mate) tells a very different truth.
@maxhoffa Saved ourselves"The Battle Of Britain" Spitfire and Hurricane and our pilots that saved Britain thats as much history as you need to know of how Britain saved itselfe from invation,we were offered peace terms on more than one occasion but chose to fight on,Russia made the biggest sacrifise true, yet they still sided with Hitler and invaded Poland, you seem to have a very selective memory of events...
wow do you ever wonder how some of this stuff got where it is? like those nice rings? why where these people 100s of years ago walking around in that field?
Great finds, I am headed to England in September. Am a Civil Servant serving in Germany. I go over to detect once a year. All my detecting has been in Europe, still have one Indian head, how in the world that was lost in a farmers field is beyond me.
This is a hard core detecting trip. we hunt from about 7am to 6pm everyday, There are no tours of castles or museum's. There are over 200 fields to hunt. You decide what fields you want to hunt. Heavy Celtic, Roman and saxon presence in the area. All finds are documented and export license is issued. The export process takes up to 3 months. Your finds can be shipped to you. I run 2 hunts per year 3 weeks in the spring and fall. All of my slots for 2010 are full. Im taking reservations for 2011.
Sounds interesting...I'll contact for 2011. With Celtic, Roman and Saxon you must be in Norwich/Kent area? What about the other tours though? Worth it?
kellyco is a online detector dealer. I like to find my local dealers and support them if possable. You can also get some hands on from a local dealer. Not true with on line dealers.
It's got to get you crazy thinking that you are leaving that land and there is probably more treasure in the ground right near you that you didn't get. Congratulations guys on your finds!!!
awesome finds guys wish i`d been in that field :)
