@trademarkblaine: None of the parts to this cadence have been written down but I recently posted another video where the Drumslingers play the cadence live. Look for a video on my channel named "The Drumslingers Last Stand!"
that.....gave.....me.....CHILLS! i want to pay the snare so bad! and im starting it! i recently got a set of drumsticks, im learning traditional style, and im going to march the snare in the marching band in two year lord willing!!
@i8aNiMaLcRaCkErZ: Thanks and good luck with your drumming! There are so many great instructional resources available these days on DVD and on the internet.
@8112danny: Sorry to misguide you on that roll. I did say it has a "triple feel" because it needs to swing a bit and the accents are syncopated to give it that feel. But it is not a triplet roll. See the part where I show the accents for the roll as single sticking. That is the exact same sticking as the roll. Where ever there are accents, play those as single accents, all the rest of the taps are double strokes. I hope that helps.
@8112danny: Sorry, no sheet music. A friend of mine made it up and then showed me how he played it. It's a rote memorization kind of thing. But I know what you mean, seeing the score written out can be extremely enlightening to say the least.
Perhaps this will help? Rudiments played in the first part include: 5-stroke roll, flams, flam-taps, pataflafla and hertas. The sticking is mostly natural, not doublings of beats.
