  • They have such a nice dad. It is so sad that there are so many divorces these days, kids are missing out on knowing from a young age what a kind hearted and responsible man is.

  • @Cutegurl111792 hes not cheesy. hes genuine. and his love for his kids is obvious. He seems like a great dad to me and i would love to be have such a great family that loves each other so unconditionally.

  • you know, I just can't find anything I don't like about this family...they are loving, kind, respectful and a just plain great family!

  • Their family is so cute

  • no jim bob is such a cheesy dad. id kill myself i had to spend one day with this family

  • i mean i know all this is painful i mean come on... there's more painful surgeries than this. i had my wisdom teeth out and i know how bad it hurts but i also had surgery for scoliosis. google that if you don't know what it is.

  • My dentist made an error. They were supposed to take out all four and by accident the orders were confused and they only took out two. Even now the dentist tells me I need the other two out. and I always say, ¨No way! You had your chance!¨ It would be torture to go through that twice!

  • This has nothing to do with their teeth..but I wanna go to their house because Joy-anna went on those set of stairs that I had NO idea existed.

  • This show makes me sad that I had a drug addicted father that was out of my life when I was 4 years old, then a stepdad that's like nothing to me and treats me like crap. At least I know that there are good men out there.

  • Um... Can i borrow Joy the next time i have to go through something like that???

  • joy is generous like her dad

  • Lol chores = jurisdictions WTF!

  • where can I get a sister like that when im sick or going through something like that

  • When I got my wisdom teeth pulled I was fine, ate regular food and didn't even have to take Tylenol. I had no idea some people take that so hard.

  • @AxKatenok I HAD ALL 4 WISDOM TEETH PULLED OUT AND AT THAT TIME I WAS CARRYING MY BABY THEY HAD TO COME OUT AND IT WAS HARD BECAUSE I HAD TO TODDLES AND CARRYING ONE NO HELP AND WHEN THEY PULLED THEM THE PAIN WAS GONE

  • @clarabells22 Jadea, Jessica, Jillian, Julie, Jaylyn, Jorge, Jose, Jacob(do they have a Jacob) ......uhhh

  • Poor Jill and Jana! I remember having mine out...no fun!

  • The only other j names I can think of is jiata justice and do they have a Jesse

  • I got mine pulled out today. I haven't left the bed since I got home. I threw up a lot after I woke up, and have hardly ate or drank anything since I'm so nauseous. I'm being put on a different pain medication, and hopefully that helps and I can eat, otherwise I'll have to go back to the dentist tomorrow and get an iv of fluids. :/ I must have it really bad because they look a lot better than I do right now! My gums have still not stopped bleeding. Everyone is different though...

  • I had to have my wisdom tooth pulled out a few months back as was in pain with it. Under local anaesthetic, then half hour later walked out the dentists and drove home. End of! Not sure why they were in bed I find that quite bizarre!

  • @theredjediknight I work in ad entail clinic. honestly, they shouldn't have let you drive home as you are considered legally impaired for 24 hours. you could se your dental clinic. they're in bed because they had a conscious sedation and will be quite tired for a few days on top of the body trying to heal its self. you only had one out. they had four. gotta think in perspective.

  • jim bob is such a nice dad :)

  • Man, I didn't lay around in bed when I had mine out... but then again, I have kids and motherhood beckons!

  • @steppedonalego77 I agree... I had a final exam in University. I literally went from the clinic to the exam hall, I don't see why this is such a big deal.

  • @steppedonalego77 oh i know, the day after i had back surgery, i was cooking dinner for my son.

  • omg, as soon as Jim Bob said steak...my mouth watered! :)

  • I wonder what type of Narcotics Pain Killers that the Good Doctor Prescribed the girls and how these are allowed by their religious belief's when Caffine and Alcohol are not, I'm not knocking their religion. I am just curious.

  • @sketchyinc They drink caffeine... or at least, Jinger's favourite drink is coffee

  • @sketchyinc there's usually t-3's, and ibuprofen. in my case, because my swelling wouldn't go down i had to take a certain kind of steroid but that's a rarity. (i also work in a dental clinic)

  • Jim Bob is such a loving, concerned Dad.

  • wow a nice family.

when i had my wisdom teeth pulled out my dad just dropped me off and told me to grow a pari of balls.

when my brother saw me he punched me in the face becasue he thought my face was still numb . . . it wasnt.

  • @02sprinkles

oops, sorry! I didn't mean to thumbs down, I meant to click reply! Anyways, sorry your experience was bad :( My mom and dad went with me to get mine out and my dad stayed with me until I was sedated. I was terrified! I can't imagine how you felt!

  • @02sprinkles lol

  • i looked just like Jana, i got mega chipmunk cheeks haha!

  • they are the best family.. I can't believe that they showed them the girl's wisdom teeth thats gross... lol

  • @mich1721 They do know some sign language because some of the songs they sing use sign language.

  • The worst part of mine was the novacaine shots. after those was all over it was a piece of cake.

  • @hitchiker2007 Novocaine is the easy part, they don't hurt at all, the IV was the worst part for me.

  • the younger girls are waiting on them, I'm gonna quote Stewie from family guy here and say "Michelle, get off your ass and do some parenting!:

  • aww Joy-Anna,what a cutie

  • That's crazy I remember having mine out when I was 20 I walked home from the dentist and resumed looking after and bringing up my two toddlers.

  • Jeeze, they act like they've had their kidneys out or something. It's just getting your teeth out, which makes you sit out for a day at most.

  • @samacoy having wisdom teeth removed is not the same as having molars removed. Everyone is different. Especially if the teeth have not come through the gums yet, people can be out for a week. My brother-in-law could not eat solid food for a couple of weeks. Chewing hurt since there were several cuts in his gums.

  • @shawty926 Who's talking about molars? My wisdom teeth were cut out and it wasn't bad; Mama and Papa Duggar are just treating them like babies. I was eating solid food the day my teeth came out and it was fine.

  • @samacoy Like I said, everyone is different at how they take it. My brother-in-law had all his wisdom teeth removed. His were part way through the gum, making it more painful.

  • @shawty926 wisdom teeth are actually third molars. just sayin

  • @samacoy Getting your wisdom teeth out is not always a situation that only disrupts your life for a day. When I had mine out I couldn't swallow for days without extreme pain, and my tongue is permanently numb (though is has improved a little) from the surgery. It wasn't like a went to an awful doctor either, I just have unusual nerve placement. I've also had abdominal surgery, and that was a much better process. It's all very individual

  • @samacoy not true actually! I work in a dental clinic. i personally as out for over a week due to some bad swelling that wouldn't go down. I've heard of people going out that same night and people being down and out for over two weeks. sometimes you're body just doesn't like what has happened and reacts.

  • @mich1721 The babies are taught some sign language before they can speak so maybe they all know a little.

  • how come they even have wisdom teeth if 90% of people have to get them pulled...? wheres the genetic engineering?

  • "If I had any teeth, I'd be eating some .. steak!" LMAO JimBob.

  • i like Jill the best shes the sweetest

  • I haven't had mine out yet. I went for a consult three years ago and when I saw on the form that the oral surgeon didn't take my insurance, I bolted!

  • Joy-Anna is just growing up so so so much. I remember like, two days ago when she was little and wrestling with Josiah, Jeremaia and Jededaia

  • I get all four of my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow! eek

  • @Dawnyel419 i am 12 and i have the biggest mouth my dentist has ever seen

  • I think I would be just like Jill there. So terrified I wouldn't know what to do. Then again i had a root canal when I was 13 and it wasn't that bad. I don't know if having wisdom teeth pulled is worse or not. At least I didn't get put to sleep

  • Maryanne247, Well I had dental surgery when I was around 10, it involved the extraction of 9 baby teeth(not wisdom). I was under general anesthetic and put on a ventilator for the procedure which took place in the OR. I was absolutely terrified. But it was over before I knew it and I went home just a couple of hours later.

  • Who says they rested a week?

  • @kinli1 The girls did

  • Who needs a week of rest after such a simple procedure?

  • @TheCaliforniaPrinces I needed three days!

  • Yep. Rip out those god-given wisdom teeth. Perhaps even the appendix one day should the useless organ become infected. No way at all that either of those could be left over from evolution. God put them there with the specific intention to be removed to teach his children about 'pain' and 'recovery.' ...oi...

  • the bouncer on the bed. scares me. all it takes is jill to move or someone bumping into the bed. and it could fall.

  • So glad that part of my life is over! All my wisdom teeth were monsters!

  • I got my wisdom teeth out and afterwards I just slept a lot! The bottoms were a little sore but the tops were no problem at all. Getting them removed is no big deal at all!

  • Glad you had an easy time of it. I had a horrible time. I was allergic to the meds and got sick for days.

  • wow their sooooooooooooooo brave

  • When i had mine out(all 4). I went right home and went on the computer and just ate soft foods. I do feel bad that they had to face there fears on tv.

  • I kept my teeth, too. But I'm just really interested in everything medical.

  • joy is so cute she was so helpful she wants 2 be a nurse so shes on the right tracks

  • MY teeth were evil! I got all my wisdom teeth between 21-23 & they came in one at a time. The only one I kept was the hardest to removed: The bottom left one. I went to a dentist & they basically broke it out with what looked to me like a flat head screw driver & removed some tissue because it was infected. The upper & bottom right were removed by a surgeon & I have the upper left one left.

The bottoms are the hardest because usually they have to be cut & drilled out. The uppers just pop out.

  • Thier daughters are all soo beautiful.

  • why did they keep the teeth?? are they planning a mini funeral?

  • Haha, I kept mine too for memories. I didnt know teeth were really huge until they pulled that shark tooth out my mouth. I put a pic of it on my Xanga & got some cool comments. Not only that, I was wide awake the whole time. I WISH I was knocked out. It was so bad I was telling mom to hit me. XD

  • LOL. Let's pray for them to get better! *off to the side* "here take this man-made medicine, it will actually work"

  • I bet at least a couple of those 18 don't believe, but are too scared to come out.

  • why do they all sleep in the same room?

  • @jldmurray13 The kids wanted it that way.

  • "we've got pictures for memories" yea, that and a frikkin tv show

  • A week in bed? I wish I'd been able to take a week off when I got mine removed. Two days after my surgery I was back to work - puffy-faced and in pain, but working. Geez.

  • its funny how their fashion sense has has caught up since their earlier shows.

  • its funny how half of these comments are about guns and the other are about teeth

  • There is nothing wrong with guns, as long as you are taught how to use them safely

  • uhhh i have to have my wisdom teeth pulled on friday:(

  • What a great sister for doing all that!

  • @elfaranel i know i wouldn't do that for my sister but i dont think she did it for her sister she did it because she had to

  • @elfaranel Yes and the boys are just standing around!!!

  • More like smart parents.

  • they have said in the past that they only allow them to do so as long as they do not point them at people or animals.

  • @bluesmurf2710 point what?

  • theres nothing wrong with playing with fake guns

  • the day I had my molar taken out...so funny! I was in my apartment, eating like a ton of ice cream and I was trying to show my mom the hamster I had who just had babies and finding a tiny fluff of bone and fur because they mom and one baby ate the other...and totally screeching with laughter because of my pain meds making me high...

  • I love the Duggar family!

  • lovely family.

  • such a sweet sister

  • thank you sooo sooo much. ily
