hey can i have the same quality on sound using a good vst like amplitube, guitar rig, line 6 pod farm or revalver instead of have a real amp? or is the same?
I was thinkin about getting a ephiphone les paul 100 with either a line 6 spyder or a marshall amp. My budget is 500$ so i guess I have some room cause at first I was going to get a strat but then I saw the ovation and was like OMG I need that then, I see the ephiphone les paul and was like DAMN I need that. so any suggestions on a good guitar set up for less that $500? maybe even the ephiphone sg
sounds great and all im just not a finder fan. never have been trust me i grew up in a family that loves fender. im a PRS man and i have a Marshal amp. but hey sounds great.
are there certain mics you should use to record from amp to computer? Like, i see you use really pro stuff, but say i bought a "semi-profesional" type of mic u could get in wal mart and hook it to ur computer. Would that work just as well?
@rammsteinrulz16 The mic I am using in the video is actually not that "pro"! It's a Samson CO1U USB mic. Try to find one of those used. Don't buy any mics from Walmart or Radio Shack. Trust me in this, the Samson, used, goes for about $40 Max.
@FieldOfWheat95 Having searched that a lot i can say that it is fact a good usb plug and play microphone, and it has some really nice features; if you're just starting out a usb microphone is a really good way to do it, another good one that Lewin uses is the CO1U, with a new version the CO3U. All of those are really good but the Yeti is a little more expensive but comes with more features. Hope that helps!
You're a cool person.

@LuisHouses Nothing can replace the real thing. the VST's are designed for recording or for home use. I don't know of anyone using them onstage.

How loud does the amp have to be when you record on it?
VinylKeyTV 1 month ago
@VinylKeyTV It can be at any volume you want. On something like that G-Dec amp I would record it with the volume on the amp at 3-4.

Does this amp allow you to change the tempo and/or key of the pre-programmed tracks?

Hey,nice review!Really helped me out,and you made me change my mind and buy this amp as my first amp!But i got a couple of questions for you...
1)Is it me or when you showed us the software in the upper left corner there was a tuner?
2)What's the wattage on this thing?

you should do a comparison with a spider amp

With the G-Dec 3, I think Fender has some of the best amp modeling on the market right now. I'm surprised they don't push it more.

thx Lewin. 1 more thing: that being said are there any mics you would recommend for both guitar and vocals, or would anything do?
rammsteinrulz16 1 year ago
@rammsteinrulz16 Check out the Samson CO1U USB mic.
Most mics can record many things.

so you could record amp straight to computer?
ItsMeGeoffo 1 year ago
@ItsMeGeoffo No you have to put a mic in front of the amp, but that is a good thing when you're trying to get good guitar tones!

@GaragebandandBeyond couldnt you go DI from an amp to an interface into a computer?
Deanthebassplayer1 1 year ago
@Deanthebassplayer1 Most guitar amplifiers do not have a Direct outs. Unlike bass amp which commonly have them.
