To restore your faith in humanity, I'm... well I'd like to say I'm a big Pink Floyd fan, but I've only listened to The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon (and love them both). I liked the movie, but one of my favorite tracks wasn't on it (The Show Must Go On).
Oh, and when you started out mentioning the airplane, I thought you were going to reference the sounds of Pink's dad getting bombed at the end of In The Flesh?
Animals is my favorite Floyd Album. My Floyd favorites go like this... Animals>Wish You Were Here>Meddle>Dark Side of the Moon>The Wall>Obscured By Clouds. I haven't heard much 60's or 80's Floyd so I can only compare the albums I've heard in their entirety. I know I really should listen to Atom Heart Mother but I just haven't had the chance or motivation. Oh and I just recently acquired Meddle and Animals on Vinyl for around $8 a piece. :)

Oh, and my favorite part is 1 (but its worth listening to 2 if you put The Happiest Days of Our Lives before it like they do on the radio).
