I"m diggin' this group alot. because I appreciate their quest for real tru funk. I assume they play all types of funk (not just JB's). If they really want to take it to the next level, the horn section needs to develop a really simple "two-step". Your 2 backup singers need a real dose of funk, especially if they are going to dance. Your sax player kicks ass for sure. Your Drummer is average. Your gowned singer is cool.
@fluffheadsr - Ok, whatever you say; I've been playing in Funk bands since 1975 and i've played from Miami to Vermont. But regardless, average is average. Fishman is average. I'm not trying to slam on the guy.. I'm just stating what I see. Bobby Colomby and the rest of Blood Sweat and Tears are PERSONAL friends of mine. So I do have some frame of reference.
I personally play Sax, Bass, Drums and Keyboards, and I'll be the first to admit, I'm no prodigy. You don't have to take it personaly

Jon Fishman has absolutely impecable timing! He has the entire house GROOVIN'. He is, without question, the most versatile and talented drummer performing today.

gotta agree with you. Love Fishman's style and it was a huge influence on me as a drummer but there's just too many amazing drummers out there to slap "Most versatile and talented drummer performing today" on him. With ALL due respect of course.
