Wow, this is probably the best instructive video I've seen online, using youtube to it's full potential. Awesome use of annotations; loads of easy to digest information; and given in a humorous off-beat manner. Cheers!
THANK YOU SO MUCH MY VIDEOS WHERE ALWAYS EITHER TOO WARM AND OR TO COOL... AN I LOST MY MANI:( BUT YOU HELPED THANX THANX MY VIDS ARE GONA BE CLEAR AS DAY! BTW YOUR GOOFY ! LOL
@simon44 focus is making the picture sharp and clear, A nice focus is when the thing you wanting to film is clear and the background is nice and blury. Aperture is how much light the lens is taking in.
this was so great! I inherited an OLD Canon SLR from back when ISO didn't exist (so it doesn't help me but I still found it fascinating). Now I understand how to read my camera and adjust everything so I can take better pictures with it.
So helpful! I've got a 550d that I KNEW I could get better footage out of and just by doing a few simple things, it now looks totally badass. Thanks! :) Love you guys.
by far the best videos I have ever come across. the quality, interactive features and the playfulness make these so easy to watch and follow. I don't invest my time very much but with your content it was easy! Thanks so much! good luck to you guys
Seriously thank you for creating these videos. I am attending film school and this is much more indepth that my camera class. I do have one question though why do you not change colour temperature within the camera for effect (ie make it orange) and only do it within post?
FANTASTIC VIDEOS! I have a Canon EOS 60D...but I love videography too...or is it cinematography. 3 questions: What camcorder/camera are you using? What's that camcorder on your right? And what are the best camcorders to use for people who are a experienced with camcorders...but want that cinematic sort of look? Wow I have a lot of questions...but can you pleeeease help me out?
THIS IS AMAZING!!! I have been boggling over these settings like forever!!! Thank you so much for the very informative and entertaining videos...You Rock...
This was really helpful, even though my current camera has none (NONE!) of these settings :P Hopefully I did okay with my videos though, its not a big priority at the moment as I'm learning the ropes and doing goofy stuff in the meantime. Thanks!
this is awesome! please make more! I had troubles with my camera. no matter how much i play around i could never get the right pictures i wanted. with these videos it helped alot! please make more! thanks!
Cory something tells me that they will model future AI instructors after you. This is really awesome and exciting, feels like a forward time-warp, Jetsons era user's manual, lol!
I don't even have a camera and i watched all and every video about camera setup you made, so the next time i bought a camera i'll be and expert jedi brushing my teeths taking awesome photos. So thank you!
Valuable insight for any novice...only problem was I kept missing the links cause I didn't want to click in case I missed something funny/cute/quirky/entertaining then it'd be over and I'd have to "rewind" to get to the links again. Thankfully you were still waiting after the jump :)
This is really cool and helpful. May I ask what video camera you guys shoot with? It looks perfect and I'd like to shoot with it if I can afford it. Thanks :)
incredible, it must have taken such a long time to not only film it bu set up all the annotations! thanks soo much for taking the time to make this! i certainly learned quite a lot :)
Thank you for this Corey, it was wonderful. I learned a lot and when I get a camera that I can actually use this stuff with I look forward to trying it out.
Brilliant! BRAVO!!! very, very, very, very well done. I now have a much better understanding of aperture, ISO, shutter speed and white balance after going through this, and I enjoyed it immensely. Being able to go back and forth to compare the different settings while you explain them was the best. Thanks!
This was really helpful. You should do more stuff like this, but not just with camera, stuff like proper lighting, green screen tips, sound stuff etc. x3
thank you so much corey thats what i like about the popular youtubers they are popular because they bring something different to the table not to say the rest of us don't have what it takes but just saying love corey videls videos cause of the production teaching.
one question what about film camera and what about photos compared to video? actually you did enough take a break let me take those cameras off your hand
There seems to be an echo of "These are great" and similar sentiments. I was looking forward to this when I watched one of the production vlogs! Great stuff, keep it up Guys & Gals!!
I'm gonna recommend this to my Digital media teacher, when she starts teaching about cameras types/settings, definitely info worth hearing for anyone interested in film.
