There is plans made to put 7.5MW 150m blade turbines off the uk coast. they will be thw biggest in the world, just think the london eye is 135m diameter!

I have shown the calculations and the reasons of advantages in my website.

The idea has major advantages ONLY for very large rotors. Even in 90th years the sizes

of the 3-bladed rotors yet have not reached limits of their opportunities, and my idea was premature.

Google for: Betz limit. Modern three-bladed wind turbines represent decades of research and refinement. You are highly unlikely to improve on them, especially not by adding more blades to the rotor. Do you think the thousands of engineers who have worked on wind turbines since the 1970s would not have tried that already?
