hey jeff i was wondering..i also have the td3 and i wanted to record with it on my labtop with audacity and i dont know how to do it... do i have to download a driver for it?? if u know i would more than appreciate the help thanks much man!!

HaHa! I see I'm not the only drummer who makes that goony "I'm concentrating so hard my jaw is hanging open" look! We drummers always look so silly but it's difficult to look like a movie star when you're concentrating on getting the beats just so.
I think he's recording straight from the drum brain (with line-in). Besides you don't really need an amplifier, just buy an amplifier to mini-jack (headphones plug) converter, and then connect it to some speakers or headphones.
I'm going to buy a TD-3 but heard the hi-hat pedal wasn't very good. Do you have any problems with it? Also, are you playing your set without or with amplification? I'd like to know if they sound as good as your's, right out of the box or am I gonna have to turn around and buy an amp for them? Any advice you can share with me would be most helpful. Great drumming, by the way!
