My issue with Planned Parenthood is this: I wanted to volunteer to speak to young people about sex, birth control, family planning, etc. I wanted to teach the young women about the biorhythm method, along with birth control and condoms.  They wanted me to push the Depo shot. I know too many women who were sterilized by that shot. I refused, and haven't supported Planned Parenthood since then.

I've only ever known two women who had an abortion. One, had two, 20 years apart. Long story. The other is the one that I always like to point out. She desperately wanted to be a mother, but kept having tubal pregnancies. Because the law won't allow a regular doctor to perform abortion, she had to go to a clinic for the procedure, and endured a lot of abuse. She had to have 3 abortions before she gave up and adopted 5 children. Not every abortion is a woman's choice.

I came close to making that terribly poor choice once in my life. I had to choose between motherhood and college. Ultimately, this is why so many women in the US kill their children. I chose motherhood, but I understand why some women put it off. Honest sex education really is called for.

i support a womans right to choose, honestly. and I don't have any facts but at the moment, but I just can't believe that abortion factors into ones likelihood to contract cancer. Women have been having abortions for as far back in history as you could imagine. If anything birth control pills / medication would logically be the culprit. you can only take birth control for 15 years or so before it begins having massive negative side effects.

Then again I maybe wrong this just seems illogical.
