I was surprised to see "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" because it only spent one week in the Top 40, peaking at #27 before bouncing around the 41-50 chart positions for a while. On the Year-End R&B, it was ranked #20 (peaked at #2 for 1 week).
My favourites in order are: #66 (Your Love), #99 (Try Sleeping...), #77 (Naturally), #91 (The House That Built Me), #74 (Already Gone), #64 (Paparazzi), #60 (Over), and #67 (Party in the USA)
The worst is My Chick Bad (#56) and My First Kiss (#73)
@1stfanjb the song is really just a leftover from 2009. in reality, she didn't have a hit in 2010. her last album flopped, and who could blame people. at least they did something right.
As far as the number ones go, I think the dates are overkill, but just notifying the viewer that it hit number one on a billboard chart would be good.
@TheGeoKing I think "Down" was released in May '09, and got on the top50 both times. That one really surprised me, especially since it also charted above "Do You Remember"...
@BelgiumDimi008 On the contrary... no. IGF did stay at #1 for the most weeks, but under the actual sales/airplay/streaming figures for the entire year, 3 other songs beat it. Anyways, I didn't make anything up.
@PenaltyKillah You're absolutely right! One example would be in 1997, when Elton John's 1997 remake of "Candle In The Wind" became the biggest pop single of 1997, despite only spending 8 weeks at #1 in the 1997 period. "Un-Break My Heart" (#4) spent 11 weeks at #1 (Dec 7, 1996 - Feb 15, 1997), and "I'll Be Missing You (#3) spent 11 weeks at #1 (June 14, 1997 - Aug 23, 1997).
