(Only 2 are fat) You can play video games and still be active. I do however hate that gaming tourneys are still heavily represented by cod and halo. It fuckin sucks. I'm a freakin beast at the ssb series and mortal kombat but i barely ever see any tourneys on either.
The worst part about MLG is that it was almost exclusively halo. If you want competitive halo, that's fine as long as you don't brand it as gaming in general. You're effectively saying that halo represents every form of play style and skill of every form of game. Halo does NOT stand as the epitome of gaming.
@TheMageGames I agree that for the most part MLG has been about Halo... But to be fair, it's Sundance, Sepso and Puckett started out with. It was their base that they happened to get involved in and it went from there. It's a lot more representative now with multiple streams, multiple main stages and equal commentary, though there is still a bias towards Halo and FPS.

COD is bad for mlg......halo you cant have one player on your team killing and dominating all by himself the whole game...in COD you can....COD you can just camp in a gay spot and 3 shots witta p90 that emptys its whole clip in like 3 seconds.....so 3 shots out of that whole clip there dead....where in halo the br takes 4 shots if you get head shots, 6 wit body shots and it shoots mad slow. the only way you can dominate in halo is if you have a power weapon...and da power weapon doesnt last long
The reason mlg runs halo 3 instead of cod is that you have to be able to control power weapons and positions in halo 3 and those power weapons and positions on maps take skill and teamwork to achieve where as cod you just go around and shoot ( not to say their isn't some skill or teamwork in cod) Their is just an immense amount of difference between the two games.

yh ur right over in england wednt get the chance to go pro but me n my friends play for cash for example we all put in like £5 each and winner takes all or the winning team splits it, but i do intend to go to america in the future to try and go pro and earn some real cash

i cant feel your pain, but i know what your talking about. A lot of video game things/ events are centered in america. Making it a lot harder for kids in europe to get the same opportunities. Even little things like xbox live, i feel bad when i am playing a game with europeans and we have an american host. that just sucks, you are put at a disadvantage based of were you live. Also the pros are talking to MLG and trying to set up international events. Toronto being the first (last year)
