Just so everyone knows, they arranged with the police to help with testing the police's ability to catch bank robbers. The robbery was the starting point for a sort of race - as soon as they 'robbed' the bank, they actually tried to get away, with the cops trying to catch them. So the robbery is staged, but the chase isn't.
