  • wow do you sell them? haha do you have a fan in your greenhouse for air circulation and to prevent fungus?

  • I see the Articfarmer over here trying to get warm. She does a good job typing while wearing mittens maybe she could build a green house off the side of her igloo

  • My Igloo melted along time ago, lol

  • hahahaha......very funny......we don't need a greenhouse.....my onions and potatoes will sprout right in the cupboard if I leave them long enough.....bwahahahaha

  • Ha ha, I know all about that. Garlic and Spuds always sprout in our house.

  • I just checked the govt. website.....and there are herbicides that will get them in early stages....still best to pick them by hand. They are very aggressive plants.

  • We have plants like that here. Best to pull them out before they go to see. Broom is the most invasive species here.

  • Palm trees too??? OMG....am I living in the wrong part of Canada??? LOL

  • I have been growing them outdoors for nearly 25 years now. Our south west coast is full of palms. The west end of Vancouver has the streets lined with palms. Many suburbs also use them as street trees. You'll see some taller ones if you check out some of my other vids. Cheers

  • Oh, by the way....my first job was in a greenhouse transplanting seedlings.....and further to floral designer....so I know a little about plants....but not the technical names....OMG....LOL

  • We have something in common. I use to work at one of the nurseries here in charge of the plants. I also use to look after the big greenhouses as well, jst mainly watering, fertilizing, weeding and organizing. In the garden shop I often made flower arrangements believe it or not.

  • That was my first job, transplanting bedding plants....I was able to tell what they were as seedlings...not as mature plants.....LOL and I used to have to plant those little wee plants into bottles....OMG.....and cacti too....OMG

  • Must be fun transplanting cactus, Ouch!, lol. I have transplanted lots of it, but I do love Cactus. Got to love gardening!

  • I do, but we haven't had the spring rain we need for years now. And nothing does good on well water....especially mine, it's high in sodium. I can grow the smallest petunias you ever seen....from the heat and no rain....lol....Last year I cut down in flowers by about 50%....I replaced a lot of beds with gravel and just plant the whiskey barrels that I placed on top of the gravel. But the weeds do awesome....even with no water....lol

  • Ha ha, what would we do without our weeds, lol. They seem to grow even in the worst conditions. The driest summers they still stay perfectly green without any extra water, lol

  • Well, the scentless camomile and thistles, are noxious weeds out here on the farm...they just take over everything....I battled with the camomile for years, the best way to get rid of it, is to pull it out...they have shallow roots. Then I see them selling the plants in greenhouses....OMG....there's only one spray that will kill it and you can only get it commercially. And it's expensive. The seeds stay dormant for years. But it looks like nice daisies...lol

  • Round up!

  • Nope, round up doesn't work on those.....maybe if you get them when they're really small. The round up you buy in stores is crap....I can get the real deal, but it's about $170 for a couple of liters....you have to have a farm or acreage to buy it. Problem is, round up only kills surface plants, not the roots, so it takes a few shots to get the thistle.

  • I wonder if 24-D would work?

  • do you grow any vegtables or is it all palms.
