Um, the guy talking about logic is very much confusing the audience with his "A implies B, and you get B, B, B" .. it doesn't mean A.
If a broken arm hurts and you feel pain in the arm it doesn't mean its broken! There could be a rash, there could be a bite, a burn, and infection, etc - a myriad of possible ailments.
He is right to say "something is going on" instead of "your arm is broken". But then, what was his point?
You really need to take notes when attempting to be a critic. The A implies B issue stated specifically that the arm WAS broken, so any inference of pain was a result of the break, rather than the break being inferred from the pain. That moots your point. These guys have multiple masters degrees, etc., such an error in their logic would be unlikely. His point - that his belief is consistently being reinforced by evidence - the pain (belief) is there because of the break (God's word is true).
Given that a broken arm hurts and that your arm hurts, doesn't imply that it is broken. It could hurt for many other reasons, and you need additional data to verify it is broken.
And these guys never answer direct questions, they sidestep and conclude, with "trust me, I know". It isn't an explanation. Multiple masters degrees mean nothing. PhD in Truthology, maybe :) ? They are masters at dodging questions and bullshitting audiences. I give you that :)
It really annoys me when people take verses out of context without actually reading the whole thing and trying to prove a point by it. No matter how many times i've been asked about apparent contradictions i always show the person what is before and after and just by reading that how it is not a contradiction
lolol...the guy is asked right off the bat about the conflicting creation stories in Genisis. Notice how he dodges around the obvious contradiction "man was created after the plants" Genisis 1:12,26...VS. "man was created BEFORE plants" Genisis 2:5-9...ofcourse its goes on to say animals before plants, then plants before animals....so the guy sidesteps the issue by mentioning worlds omitted...A BIG DIFFERENCE between omitting, which isnt a conflict...versus actual obvious contradiction.
What if God, after creating Adam, created some more things in order to show Adam that it was God who had created everything? I've heard this argument proposed before, and it's not a contradiction.
Misunderstanding of not reading in context. ch1 is creation of the world. ch2 is creation in the garden. ch3 Adam and Eve gets kicked out of the garden and into the world. Take another look and read in context. No contradiction.
@happylada These guys are brilliant!!! I am loving it!!

5 random questions to which I have never heard a protestant give a satisfactory answer:
1)What objective reasons do you have to consider the Bible to be inspired literature?
2)Where in the Bible does it say that the Bible is the only rule for faith?
3)Why does Saint Paul call the Church the foundation of truth?
4)Where is the only place in the Bible where the words "faith" and "alone" next to one another.
5)Why did Jesus give his apostles the authority to forgive sins?

This is known as circumstantial evidence.
It isn't strong enough in court.

Amen. There is no contradiction between Gen.1 and 2 if they are read in context.
