Seeing Jake trying bond with Joey was perhaps the best scene of the movie. This is also the first time you see Joe Pesci without a wig. Raging Bull is worth watching countlessly.

Yeah, me too. I know Jared Leto for Chapter 27, he pretty much ate a lot of junk food, one microwaved ice cream mixed with olive oil and drinking it and he gained about 60 pounds within a few months. I wonder if Robert just ate junk food also, maybe a high carbohydrate diet. Its amazing how he can drastically transform like that. De Niro is the best method actor ever as far as I'm concerned. Brando may have built the foundation for modern American method acting but De Niro perfected it.

The Method is an aproach in the way developes a character, it's a particular system and the most famous actor on using it is Marlon Brando. There are great actors like Ian McKellen or George Clooney or Julia Roberts (well maybe not so great) and when you see them acting they're good but they play the role their own way. A method actor studies the character and changes everything. F.E: Heath Ledger's Joker, Daniel Day Lewis, Anthony Hopkins Hannibal, Merril Streep, Pacino's Scent of Woman.
