I don't know if Bentley was called by God or man. I did watch one night of the Bentley phenomena and I have to say my spirit didn't feel comfortable. It was nothing to do with his appearance. Sadly I knew a man who went to this meetings and Bentley claimed to heal him but he died several months later of cancer. Until the end of his days he was convinced that God had healed him through Bentley. I do believe he is healed now but it is sad that people are being scammed by Bentley.

Can we ask God for something He has promised to give us in His Word? YES. Ps91 says God will give us His Angels, therefore it can NOT wrong to ask God to give us Angels. Compare that to us asking for the HOLY SPIRIT. Jesus could ask the Father for Angels.& we are to be like Jesus. Ps23 says Goodness and Mercy follow us, THESE are Angels, which WE Pray for unknowingly!! We don’t worship Angels, they are our servants, so we have right to tell them what to do, through Jesus the only Way to God.
Is it our place to cast judgement or God? God can use anyone to get peoples attention. I have seen God first hand perform many miracles in His ministry through me. If you don't believe God can heal the sick make the blind see or any other miracle. We must not be serving the same God. Jesus said that we will perform even greater miracles than Him because He was leaving to go back to the Father but He was leaving His comforter (HOLY SPIRIT) to dwell in us. They have started caging up their stairways and put up cameras to protect them from the homeless! I hear a lot about "healing" in the pentecostal movement. I don't want to take anything away from it, but when Jesus or the disciples "healed" someone, it was an unmistakable thing: a withered hand made whole, leprosy immediately gone, the blind see. I"ve yet to see or even hear about a healing nowadays where there is photographic proof or even witnesses that show the person had a definite, visible malady that was healed. (Yes, I am a Christian.)

I was in a coma and my brother and people from his church prayed for me and I was healed. I really should not be alive today. All of my doctors and nurses said it was miraculous healing as well and confirmed that I should not be alive.

I don't know if Bentley was called by God or man. I did watch one night of the Bentley phenomena and I have to say my spirit didn't feel comfortable. It was nothing to do with his appearance. It was more about the delivery and the feeling that people were out of control. I think God is a gentleman and find it uncomfortable that he would have people in that condition. @zperra He probably got the tattoos done before he was saved. There's a lot of Christian musicians and stuff who have tattoos that they say they're ashamed of today.
On the other hand though, that is part of the Mosaic law, under which we no longer live. Christ came to fulfill the law and make a new covenant. But as for the tattoo/piercing part, it's a gray area. One of those things that Paul tell us to keep to ourselves and not allow to bother other believers who might not agree.

Sadly I knew a man who went to this meetings and Bentley claimed to heal him but he died several months later of cancer. Until the end of his days he was convinced that God had healed him through Bentley. I do believe he is healed now but it is sad that people are being scammed by Bentley.

@hawaii50th i would check the context on that. the new living translation was made by very liberal people, so they may see it a different way. if you look up the greek translation it is referring back to idols and false gods, telling the people not to make marks on their skin or cuttings. as in worshipping the false god baal.

Signs have occurred but the Bible says that there will be false teachers who will deceive many. It becomes obvious when the teacher strays from the Word of God. A teacher will also be humble. If he is really a teacher, his only motivation will be from God's will and for God's glory, not the evangelist's.

Continued here: As I was saying, do some research on amputees skin/bone growing back a little! Fact is on record it has NEVER grown back more than I think it was 1 but possibly 2 inches! In a nut shell legs don't grow back to their original size and are never functional again! If you call 1 inch of regrowth a healing well, never mind I refuse to be demeaning to disabled people!

Actually, if I hit my thumb with a hammer while using it I might get mad, or other stuff like that, but normally I'm quite content and happy in life! I do have moments when I get frustrated and or angry when dealing with fundies like you who are unreasonable but that's about it! :p

My statement about there being no more evidence for jesus divinity than there is for the existence of Thor is FACT, but if you don't think that valid, fine, show me the evidence that jesus was divine! BTW, before you get all excited and try to use scripture, it's not historical evidence, research it! :-) I'm waiting!

looks like what is happening is what actually happened in the time of Jesus.. imagine the uproar created as Jesus moved thru the cities ,, the Jews feared the whole world would follow Him, so they eventually killed Him. Go figure the media and unbelievers do the same today

Can we ask God for something He has promised to give us in His Word? YES. Ps91 says God will give us His Angels, therefore it can NOT wrong to ask God to give us Angels. Compare that to us asking for the HOLY SPIRIT. Jesus could ask the Father for Angels.& we are to be like Jesus. Ps23 says Goodness and Mercy follow us, THESE are Angels, which WE Pray for unknowingly!! We don’t worship Angels, they are our servants, so we have right to tell them what to do, through Jesus the only Way to God.

Is it our place to cast judgement or God? God can use anyone to get peoples attention. I have seen God first hand perform many miracles in His ministry through me. If you don't believe God can heal the sick make the blind see or any other miracle. We must not be serving the same God. Jesus said that we will perform even greater miracles than Him because He was leaving to go back to the Father but He was leaving His comforter (HOLY SPIRIT) to dwell in us. Jesus, told us to heal the sick.

This guys from Abbotsford, where i'm from. We serve the homeless right across the street from the church that he came from. They have started caging up their stairways and put up cameras to protect them from the homeless! They actually changed the name of the church to distance themselves after Todd left his wife and all that. Sad cause i think he's got real gifts. like anyone he's fallable unfortunaltly..

I hear a lot about "healing" in the pentecostal movement. I don't want to take anything away from it, but when Jesus or the disciples "healed" someone, it was an unmistakable thing: a withered hand made whole, leprosy immediately gone, the blind see. I"ve yet to see or even hear about a healing nowadays where there is photographic proof or even witnesses that show the person had a definite, visible malady that was healed. (Yes, I am a Christian.)

@DominicMetal1979 I was healed. I was on my death bed after being septic without treatment for a full week. I was not Christian at the time. I was in a coma and my brother and people from his church prayed for me and I was healed. I really should not be alive today. All of my doctors and nurses said it was miraculous healing as well and confirmed that I should not be alive.

@turtle4aire I agree. Todd Bentley's whole thrust has been "Wanna see stuff?" Nothing about the fruit of the Spirit or holiness. Jesus said "by their fruit you will know them." He meant false prophets. Bentley has the marks of a false prophet and a practitioner of charismatic witchcraft.

Another false healer preying on the hopes of those seeking miracles. Just like Benny Hinn, Peter Poppoff, and so many other greedy people who have decided to milk the needy of their funds. A black eye to all honest Christian Ministers all over the world. God said to beware of false teachers in the end time and we are seeing more and more of these greedy rip off artists blaspheming against the Holy Spirit of GOD!

People's salvation is vastly more important than miracles. I would rather someone with cerebral pulsy repent and serve Christ, and becoming saved and going to heaven than that person being cured, not repenting and following Christ, and going to hell. Jesus makes this clear that the soul of the person is vastly more important than the physical.
