No, the website states this: "In the ad we actually see two chickens, 'Suzy' our star, and a dead chicken. Suzy was one of eight hens rescued from the torture of a battery farm. The dead chicken also came (already dead) from the same battery farm. Finding a dead chicken for the ad wasn't a problem. It is all too easy to find chicken corpses in battery farms."

For some reason I forgot how easy it is to fake a death for the camera. Now I'm a little weirded out because I realize it's an actual dead chicken. But at least it was actually killed for the reason the ad says it was. I seem to remember a PETA ad where an animal was presented as having been killed for fur, when their site said it really died of natural causes.
