Same problem with mine. Replaced all the lifters. Didnt fix. Checked the cam. It was fine. Turned out the isuzu has a problem with the rocker arms shaft wearing down and causing looseness in the valve train. Thats what fixed the noise in mine.
I have a 95 rodeo have the same noise did you find out what was wrong with yours just want to know if it will be something I could fix without taking it to a shop.

valves to beat the Pistons, crush everything It's time to Change the Timing belt. Change the timing belt tensioner Sharpen the valves.
