It is a parody of the transformation sequences from anime such as Sailor Moon. You know, where they transform form their civvies into whatever their costume is. Since such transformations are often referred to as "Sailor Moon-esque," we put Sailor moon into the tags so it would be easily recognized as a parody of such thing.

We used Ulead VideoStudio 10, which has a chroma-key feature and some other nifty effects (suhc as positionable lightning and lens flare). For the 3D title we used Ulead Cool 3D Studio, and for the sky background in the flying scenes we used Lightwave 3D's sky generator feature.

Normally our videos have a budget of 0 dollars, but this was a combined FX test and purchase of stuff to use for the future.

Nice! We'll keep that in mind for future reference. At the time, the only place we could find the kind of fabric in both the color and quantity we wanted was then local fabric store. So we got a bolt of roughly 50 metres of blue nylon which we could cut up and make as big a screen as we needed. When it's time to upgrade, we'll definately consider your suggestion. Thanks!
