Why do GE's have such large LP compressors compared to other engines? Being 2 shaft as well wouldnt that make it ineeficient to turn such large compressors at HP compressor RPM's
@porousorifice That dome is to simulate the engine in upper atmosphere because it restricts the air going into the intake just like how the air is very thin up high.
Be much better without the music... would rather hear the sound of the engine!

The honeycomb sphere is to accurately calibrate engine thrust and reduce effects of inlet distortion, vortices etc.
