One of my favorites. The composition of the song and the quality of the musicians is outstanding as always. This tune freakin' kills! I saw Maiden several times back in the 80's and I will never get tired of them. Havent been able to see them on their most recent outing but I hope to catch the next one.
Fuck, this song is just too amazing. Insane bass, fantastic drumming, great guitar solo, what more could you get? Bruce is there too. And hell, this song totally kicks ass live too. They really have to roll another world tour similar to Somewhere Back In Time. One that focuses on the second half of the 80's and their less played tracks. Too many amazing songs(Seventh Son, most of No Prayer and Fear of the Dark albums, Killers) are not played live :(
I really love this song. Played too rarely. True classic. And Adrian's solo is awesome. Pure greatness. One of the best maiden solos. Period. Solo reminds a little bit of powerslave's solo. I mean that the structure of those two solos are quite similar. First quite long and slow but beautiful melodic part and then lightning fast end. =D
First album I bought with paper round money all those years ago (SWIT)I learnt the guitar solo too. Really appreciate you sharing this rarity with us jozefthedick!
Because Adrian's father passed away not long after this concert. While he was away at the funeral, they took this song off the setlist, and they ended up not playing it anymore, because Adrian felt that it was special to his father, so they retired the song for good.
I was at this epic show! During the intro of this track Bruce would toss up the mic stand and clap his hands to the drum beat just like in the video for this song...I almost cried and shit myself! Adrian is god! Up the Irons!!!
That's a good first show to catch, man.. I'd love to see them so soon after the reunion. And the set list was awesome, especially because of this song. The most recent tour they did was arguably the strongest in terms of set lists, but this song puts the ed hunter tour right up there. If they could play this, caught somewhere in time and seventh son on one more tour before they quit, then they've really done everything I could ask for as a fan.. ok, they could relearn Alexander the great too :p

@Maidenize666 I think it was Adrians fathers favourite song, so they retired it in honour of him. Possibly is caused Adrian pain to play it??

@rautaneitofani88 Personally I think that it reminds of the Powerslave solo because of Steve Harris' bass lines. Beautiful solo nonetheless
