  • Hi! Have you considered - fast abs magic (do a search on google)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy got hot Six pack abs and lost tons of fat with it.

  • gary Taubes ..go on..

  • Gary Taubes is my hero!

  • movember gary? :o=)

  • How do I know how many carbs to eat to lose weight?

  • @Jugglable it depends how fast you want to lose weight. if your quite fat you may want to go ketogenic, limit your carbs intake to no greater than 50 per day. however if you have kidney problems dont because it adds extra stress to your kidneys because some of the ketone bodies in your blood are passed through urine. on the other hand if you have maybe 20 or so pounds to lose just limit your self to around 100 per day it doesnt have to be exact. once you've hit your goal weight try 150 daily

  • @bobdylan4evr On the kidney thing, just make sure you drink lots of water and EXERCISE. It helps keep your ketone level natural.

  • Taubes’s mention of General Mill’s donations to Harvard opened my eyes to the huge influence corporations can have on top research institutions. This is an unavoidable consequence of the fact that scientific endeavors require huge amounts of time and money. I am also surprised about the scientific validity of the Atkins diet and the examples Taubes used to counter popular conceptions of obesity e.g. the Fat Louisa paradox and early twentieth century research on adiposity.

  • Thank you Taubes!

  • Gary Taubes is what Galileo was to Copernicus. He has basically taken the discovery of scientists prior to him, who stated that insulin causes fat accumulation, and has made that ignored information known to the masses, and for his generosity, he is experiencing a backlash from those who uphold the prevailing orthodoxy of calories in vs. calories out. I guarantee you, that a generation from now, Taubes will be revered as a science revolutionary along with Atkins, Yudkin, and Lustig.

  • @lazur1, Those raw-fooders must be Insulin Resistant and not store excess fat. When you pair a high carb diet with an Insulin Sensitive liver, then you will start to store fat.

    Google: Dr. Scott Connelly CrossFit

Watch the three 30 minute videos and be awwed

  • How do we explain Dr.Doug Graham's "80/10/10" , (80%carbs), raw-fooders, who eat all they want within these guidelines . If anything, most of them seem too thin but are , in fact, usually very high-energy & quite strong.

  • @lazur1

There is no obligation to explain this. You have to first prove, with double blind experiments, that your assertion is true. Untill you do that, it is far removed from being a fact.

  • @SeanK Invoking science & doing it are 2 different things. A popuiation larger than most 'scientific' smaples has a diet claimed to cause over-fatness & diabetes, are consistently NOT over-fat nor diabetic. Good enough for me. I can't read every word of every experiment, but many double-blind papers I HAVE read contain contradictions between results & conclusions, too-small samples, & loose controls. Read Princeton's HFCS paper, it contains all of these problems.

  • @lazur1 You are missing the point. I can not accept your claim without evidence. I have not heard of "Dr.Doug Graham's "80/10/10" , (80%carbs), raw-fooders". You first have to proove to me they exist. Once you have done that, you still have to provide evicence that they are heathly (being skinny is not the same as been fit and healthy).

  • @SeanKimpton Prove it on a youtube forum? All I can do is possibly get fellow posters interested: The material's not hard to find. Princeton didn't publish their HFCS paper on a youtube forum: Just folks regurgitating conclusions from the news.

  • @lazur1 Okay, I just checked out some info on this diet. I don't see a problem. Taubes' thesis is that refined carbs makes us fat. This sort of food is clearly discouraged within the 80/10/10 raw framework. Contradiction resolved.

  • @lazur1 how do you explain my high protein high fat low carb weight loss and I am strong to

  • @rast123456789 When did -I- ever say you -couldn't- lose weight & be strong on a high protein, high fat, low carb diet? Obviously ,many people have lost weight this way, from Atkins to Paleo, & other similar diets. All I did was mention another option that's working equally well for many people.

  • @lazur1 oh ok lol
