  • You cross threaded the head stupid, and pull starts always suck, did you break in the engine yet, if you didn't it is still on break in settings very very rich, but you need to break it in otherwise the engine won't last long

  • READ THIS--- I think your truck is to rich that hapend to me once what I did was that I tuned my high speed needle anti clockwise until it works! Try doing that to your truck!!! I hoped I helped ;)

  • man fist cheak your glow plug then flush the high end nedle to edges and then guve it 3 turns clockwise also cheak youre carb settings and if not buy a new engine

  • Your WAY too rich, take the glow plug out turn the car upside down clear out the engine, turn the low speed needle clockwise 1/2 turn then put the glow plug back in and never throttle a rich engine like that, you need to move it so you barely hear the engine dip, then take the car off the ground, and slowly do that untill you can rev it to full, you'll be good to go.

  • I dont know much about nitro but the first thing I thought of was the fuel (to air I dont know) could be too rich or not rich enough. I dont know anything about nitro cars so dont ask me. I love my new mini revo vxl. It does amazing on the track.

  • dont let these guys comments get you down. do a lil research. dont be afraid to have your local hobby shop help you or even someone close by with experience with nitro rc cars. if you have your manual, read the part about tuning and what the stock needle settings are suppose to be. someone here said to close the high speed needle but DO NOT tighten it. just turn it in until you cant turn it anymore without forcing it. then turn it back out 2 1/2 turns. low speed needle out from closed 1 1/2 turn

  • That car is not crap you are. You dont know how to take care of the poor thing. I have a LST2. The throttle problem you have is SLOWLY give it gas ok.

  • the piston and sleve has probablee gon bad ive replased mine 4 times if you dont get it broke in right it wears out fast

  • To tune the engine screw in the top needle all the way. The unscrew 2 1/2 turns. Bottom needle should be flushed

  • U suck at this hobby. Learn how to tune and maintain a nitro engine. Its way too rich and u force the pullstart way too hard.

  • Get a traxxas t maxx or jato traxxas makes much better engines.

  • The prob is that it's a nitro truck from losi. Losi in my opinion only makes good racers. And everyone I know that had an 8t replaces the motor w/ an axile 28. 120$ on tower

  • get rid of the pull start go get an easy start it will lock up engin alot easer ok its ti rich and do not leave the glow ignighter in after it starts um ya its way to rich

  • That or, just get a Traxxas Revo :P. Also dont haul so hard on the pull start.

  • Best suggestion yet, is to stick with electric, and you should never have problems ever again :P.

  • The best advice I can give you is:

    1. Once the engine is running, leave it for 15 seconds to warm up

    2. Once the engine is warmed up, SLOWLY apply some throttle

    3. If it keeps cutting out it's probably something to do with the needles. This best thing to do with the needles is put them back to the factory settings and then try again. ( I think u should do this because it sounds really unhealty and wrong)

    4. Once the engine is running fine make sure you run it in!

  • a couple suggestions: 1. you are pressing the throttle to hard when trying to warm it up 2. lsn needs to be in middle of rich and lean 2. isn needs to be a little lean FROM rich 3. the glow plug needs to be replaced thts all i got. but i know this cus i have lots of trucks, and i mean i am 12

  • @wildbanchee3 i think its good to haVE BOTH electric is really nice for bashing and abuse i have a vxl rustler and my friend left his mammoth st over and i just drove that around like a show truck lol

  • @wildbanchee3 no u need to know how to use it pull starts always break he over tightend his glow plug and stripped it and he didnt even break it in thats why peaples truks dont run there dum

  • Its to rich....lean it out and let it run for a minute before pulling the trigger.

  • Well first of all, your just wrecking that pull starter, just do short quick pulls dont pull it all the way out or you will break it again. ive got this problem aswell,

  • ok well what you do take the motor off take off the head and the backplate and cleen it up and blow the carb out where the fuel line is then put it togather and it shuld run fine so there also make shure you cleen the motor off good and the insides

  • reset your needles to factory settings.If you do not know what they are look at the manual or get it from the losi website.Then Check the glowplug and make sure it is ok.If that is fine and needles are at factiry setting is should fire up.Let me know how that goes and I can help you further.
