The little sound ripples of my audio are incorrect! There is a loud bang but the ripples stay a line, and then they just go up a little when there are loud noises and quiet times. WHAT THE HELL!?

select the frame where is the music is, and see down you will see Sync: Event

Change Event to Start

Then make a blank frame where you want to stop the music and then click on ur blank frame and see down

Sound:*Your Music* after you put ur music in sound go to sync then click event and stop

@keelanseanwright - Download some kind of audio editing software, such as Audacity, open the file and 'save as' using a different file type. Alternatively, you may be able to download some kind of converter. I'd recommend the first option.

I need help: I placed an action file for a play button, i added an intro music to give it some lively touch.

I also placed a song right after the intro(after you press play the second song will start) how ever. Both of them play when you press teh play button(the first song continues and the second song starts playing) i can't think of any other words to describe it so sorry its its uninformative.

Nice video. Now I can put in sound. But I have a little problem. When I put in the sound clip (it's a song) the pitch is slightly lower than normal and the speed is slow. How can I speed it up and increase the pitch?

That's not something I've seen before, in regards to the pitch. I would suggest heading into file -> publish settings, and under the 'flash' tab, click the 'Set...' buttons to adjust some sound settings. For example, set it to uncompressed, a higher bit rate (e.g 64kbp/s), quality at 'best', etc.

This should remove any lag within the music, I'm not sure if it'll affect your pitch problem though.

Ok so i'm working on a sprite movie i'm so close to finish I add some sound clips and it turned out fine but one little sound clip didn't work its on the right frame the other sounds work well but just that one its really pissing me off.

(i put in sound on the frame I want it to be on when i press test scene it works but when I press start movie its on the wrong frame)

except just one little thing - this video was not filmed or edited in flash - but entirely different programs... the tutorial is about adding sound IN FLASH... also, i dont have a mic - nor the speaking voice, effort or time to bother talking in this tutorial - its just a screen recording, and people are fine with that... and if you didnt notice, there is sound at the end when the movie is played anyway... wheres the irony in that? :D :D

well a couple of things...

-make sure you press ctrl + enter when testing the movie, as just pressing enter will ignore scripts.

-make sure you add stop / stopAllSounds codes to the appropriate frames...if they are needed

When i put a song in it and press enter to see my animation with the song, it is not possible to stop the song. When i press enter again while the song is playing, the song plays again, but the previous song dont stop and i can't find a stop button. well i looked it up and found that flash is most compatible with files such as WAV and AIFF - the uncompressed audio formats.

If you try to upload an mp3 file and it doesn't work, you may have to convert it using another program, to a WAV or AIFF.

Thanks M8, I've been trying different file conversion types but even 'Flash Music Studio 1.0' doesnt work.however,i found a way to play iTunes music into my annimations. If you upload itunes to libary then make 'Blank Key Frame'. Go to properties on that slide and you can add the library music. Uploading to slide does NOT work. Dragging from library does NOT work. But 'properties', then 'music' drop down list DOES. I now have 'Poison' by 'Alice Cooper' in the background of my parkour vid.

well no...for quick sounds like those, or where the animation will run past the sounds rather than repeat or stop, you dont need that code. But for the sake of teaching the stop sounds code i just chucked it in...

You also don't need to stretch the frames across like i did.
