The sound a turbo makes depends on its position... gtm puts out some good product. 8psi isn't much and he's not actually putting the pedal to the floor.. that's not a stock z by far

I would so most definitely rather have a 370z with a twin turbo set up than a GT-R ... the GT-R is cool and everything but i feel like the 370z is so much better looking and I absolutely love the interior as well. The only thing nissan should of done like they did with the infiniti g coupe is to make it awd with an option to throw most of the power to the back wheels, but if you have that kind of time you can always convert it i suppose. Anyways 370z = amazing car!
I'm curious about the differences between this twin turbo set-up vs. Stillen's supercharger set-up. Specifically, purchase and installation costs, fuel mileage, emission issues and warrently problems. What about turbo lag and general around-town drivability. I live in Denver where the altitude is 5200 ft...any concerns about that? Thanks.
Wow what i would give to work at a nice ass shop like that with mainly Nissan's in it!! Very sick cars too was that a R33 parked in near where they pulled in at? Anyways nice ass rides. @killaaak10 just get a 90-93 nissan 300ZX twin turbo. insurance will be cheaper than a 370, mainly because its older, but i dont know by how much. each insurance carrier varies. but at least with an older Z, the car is already twin turbo from the factory, so you can just spend some money on a rebuild and you'll have a quick car. i personally think the 300z's still look good too.

Yeah I agree with this. Driving like a noob is what breaks transmission and engine parts, especially axles and driveshafts (for rear wheel drive cars).
@ldmcnutt I am 19 and have owned 4 twin turbo cars, and my frst single turbo car now. I dont bounce any of them off the limiter and burnout and shit. Because Gas is fuckin insanley bad.. and there is shit loads of power in every rpm. The reason most 19 year olds drive likee that is because they have slow NA cars tht need to be revved to make power.. and they love to feel that power and just mash on the gas. Going from my probe GT to a Skyline, is like going from HS football to the NFL.

@ryu1036 I just said they're driving like adults. Videos are deceptive in how fast you are acellerating. A car like this is going to do 0-100 in under 10 seconds. going from a 20 mph roll to 80 is only 6 seconds on the throttle. How much faster do you want to go in a 45 zone? They do quite a few short little blasts on the throttle to see how much power it makes - without getting arrested. That's the smart way to go for a first drive.

@insanitypoint - Stock VQ's have a revlimit for a reason. You can bang on them a lot within their limits but go outside those and you're going to have an expensive driveway ornament.

GTM did a great job. Not every turbo is tuned for max power (i.e. sharp power spike at at the end of the power curve). The video probably didn't do this car justice for it is reving up so smoothly. It takes a lot of time to produce a linear power delivery like that. Great job.

A good twin turbo system and a tune is pretty damn expensive for this car, but worth every penny. And high boost prolly requires diff. internals to keep everything safe
I've done a bit of research and am planning on buying one of these next spring.
The stock 370z does not come with a turbo, but it does put out slightly more than 330 HP which is great as is. A twin-turbo costs about $9500 installed, adds about 50lbs to the car and boosts power to about 490HP at 10psi. I've read the engine can handle up to 540HP, but that's pushing the limit IMO. With a power to weight ratio of about 7lb/HP it should run with the best.
Thats why I am still a fan of the Z32 bone stock long block 700whp+ 9's in the quarter stock long block with stock turbos tuned 430whp 11's in the quarter
you couldnt be any more correct..my uncle for example started off as a 0 came to the US at 16 and is now in his 30s owns 2 houses..1 in beverly hills the other in bel air and has a maserati quattroporte, ferrari 612, mbz cls550, and had a ferrari 355 but just sold it to my other uncle(his brother) its the same story build urself up as you would build a car..u start off with a good career as you would start off with a shell u get the point "work hard, play hard" great quote
I believe they will charge roughly 10k for the setup, parts, install, and tune. The g37 they did put 600 hp to the ground with 12 psi. these guys know what they are doing

@insanitypoint - Stock VQ's have a revlimit for a reason. You can bang on them a lot within their limits but go outside those and you're going to have an expensive driveway ornament.
I highly doubt anything could be worse than the way you write - I'm not taking any chances though ;)

GTM did a great job. Not every turbo is tuned for max power (i.e. sharp power spike at at the end of the power curve). The video probably didn't do this car justice for it is reving up so smoothly. It takes a lot of time to produce a linear power delivery like that. Great job.

wow Bryon just because it revs louder and takes off quicker doesn't mean shit. He could have put a differen't air intake system and that could boost his horse power or he could have put a differen't exhaust system in which would make it sound louder. I can go on and on . A good twin turbo system and a tune is pretty damn expensive for this car, but worth every penny. And high boost prolly requires diff. internals to keep everything safe

I've done a bit of research and am planning on buying one of these next spring.
The stock 370z does not come with a turbo, but it does put out slightly more than 330 HP which is great as is. A twin-turbo costs about $9500 installed, adds about 50lbs to the car and boosts power to about 490HP at 10psi. I've read the engine can handle up to 540HP, but that's pushing the limit IMO. With a power to weight ratio of about 7lb/HP it should run with the best.

you couldnt be any more correct..my uncle for example started off as a 0 came to the US at 16 and is now in his 30s owns 2 houses..1 in beverly hills the other in bel air and has a maserati quattroporte, ferrari 612, mbz cls550, and had a ferrari 355 but just sold it to my other uncle(his brother) its the same story build urself up as you would build a car..u start off with a good career as you would start off with a shell u get the point "work hard, play hard" great quote

I believe they will charge roughly 10k for the setup, parts, install, and tune. The g37 they did put 600 hp to the ground with 12 psi. these guys know what they are doing
