I just bought the evo 3d.. my brother's got the sensation.. I have used them borh moderate testing.. uno calls made.. internet browsing the lot... Sensation battery life is poor in comparison to evo.. and yes i admit the 3d is a gimmic feature.. but it makes up for it by the 1gb ram.. and beleive me that makes a difference.. as well as a bigger battery.. I got the UK model of the evo 3d.. dunno how that differs from the US version.. but my radio seems to work just fine..

@usrockband I'm in Vancouver and im done my contract with Rogers but I've got a sweet deal that I think i can add data to, but i'm set on an htc and the evo is the only one ol' Roger's got. Really I wanted a sensation but if evo's my only option i think i might just go with that rather than switch to bell, since it seems to be basically the exact same phone except the camera and the negligible difference in ram.

In KCMO my EVO 4G gets 2184kbps and my Sensation 4G gets 829kbps.... Both being on 3G. Then when I take them to 4G my EVO gets anywhere from 8000-11000kbps vs the Sensation getting 3000kbps.... So I dont think that its too worldwide.. Same results down when i was down in Flordia, although a bit slower speeds for both.
(Evo3D here) i'm thinking this connectivity issue is more prominent in certain areas.. i'm in northeast PA and my service is phenomenal, no 4G yet, but not a single problem with signal strength of data speeds

Yeah androidforums has found the Evo 3D's 3G issue is legitamate. It can be fixed through working with a Sprint rep(Software fix) or through an exchange as some issues are because of faulty hardware.
At first I thought you were being bias towards the evo3d... But as I watched both videos you seemed pretty fair in your judgements and hands on experience .. by the way that 3d would have me come back from my break a minute to early while the sensation right on time.
Wait, the Sensation had it 4th connected and the 3D was on 3G, that's not even a close comparison. And like you've said before you're not in a area with good sprint coverage, this kinda makes me wonder about this dogfight a bit. It's still reasonable but I really think it's more a draw then a win for the Sensation. Power and features to the Evo 3D, style and camera to the Sensation. Data speeds and network is a person to person thing.

I prefer the Evo 3d, how is the sensation better looking? I think they're both equally sexy but the evo is faster and I personally find the 3rd very trippy and fun to play with. Also I haven't had those signal problems like u I think its a location problem, but the sensation is still a beast of a phone

Team Evo! Senation has an incredibly awful style battery cover from the back, it looks like it squeaks when you squeeze it and i hate the slight curvature. Its like the inspire! And i agree, its not about megapixels but the quality of the camera. The Evos pic came out much clearer than the sensation. Id rather have a 5mp camera that works than a crappy 8mp camera. Brings back memories of the iphone 4's 5mp cam vs droid x "high quality 720p recording 8mp" camera that could've seen better days.

I know someone that works at Sprint and has a evo and says that the evo 3d isn't anything special. They down graded the camera and video quality. The only good thing it has is 3d and sense 3.0.
I got me a htc sensation 4g. Overall I think t-mobile's 4g is better than sprint's 4g just because wimax drains your battery. The evo 3d is also bulky and plain and the sensation is slim and sexy. Overall both phones are great compared to iPhone 4 which even isn't 4g capable.
1) The Evo 3D IS faster than the Sensation, but Quadrant Standard isn't a good way to prove it. It's not optimized for multi-core phones. Try SmartBench 2011.
2) There's nothing wrong the antenna of the phone; it might be Sprint's service in your area. I will agree with you that data speeds have been extremely slow in the ~year.

The first evo 3d that i got had major signal issues. No signal where I normally got signal on my evo 4g. Sprint swapped it out and my new one works great.
Droid X^2's qHD display is pixelated because it's probably utilizing qHD pentile matrix which interpolates WVGA to qHD, it's the same story as with the first Galaxy S i9000 model.

how can you do a speed test if the 4 g on the sensation is on all the time and the 4 g on 3 d is not. and your judgement is very biased

@karlosheleno11 the reason is the sensation only show E ,2g or, 4g since its 4g isnt a different type of signal there isnt any toggle switch like with the EVO 3D

I prefer the Evo 3d, how is the sensation better looking? I think they're both equally sexy but the evo is faster and I personally find the 3rd very trippy and fun to play with. Also I haven't had those signal problems like u I think its a location problem, but the sensation is still a beast of a phone

@Eballs84 Removing the cover gets you no service. With Tmobile I get reception on a basement 2 floors down. Friends with at&t and sprint get none. NYC area.

Team Evo! Senation has an incredibly awful style battery cover from the back, it looks like it squeaks when you squeeze it and i hate the slight curvature. Its like the inspire! And i agree, its not about megapixels but the quality of the camera. The Evos pic came out much clearer than the sensation. Id rather have a 5mp camera that works than a crappy 8mp camera. Brings back memories of the iphone 4's 5mp cam vs droid x "high quality 720p recording 8mp" camera that could've seen better days.

There is no way the Sensation 4G to win the dogfight and I hate HSPA+. I own an EVO 3D and I have no problems and the 4G is faster. EVO 3D wins.:)

IMO, and this is subjective. We know about specs, however it's so easy to see that the EVO 3D already has an "aged" look, which is almost indentical to the original.
I have nothing against Sprint, but I just would not buy the EVO based on looks alone.

I know someone that works at Sprint and has a evo and says that the evo 3d isn't anything special. They down graded the camera and video quality. The only good thing it has is 3d and sense 3.0.

I got me a htc sensation 4g. Overall I think t-mobile's 4g is better than sprint's 4g just because wimax drains your battery. The evo 3d is also bulky and plain and the sensation is slim and sexy. Overall both phones are great compared to iPhone 4 which even isn't 4g capable.

1) The Evo 3D IS faster than the Sensation, but Quadrant Standard isn't a good way to prove it. It's not optimized for multi-core phones. Try SmartBench 2011.
2) There's nothing wrong the antenna of the phone; it might be Sprint's service in your area. I will agree with you that data speeds have been extremely slow in the ~year.

@Youvebeentechd no, wimax is sprints 4g network, cdma is hat kind of company they are verizon is also a cdma carrier while tmobile and att are gsm and most of the minor carriers are cdma but unless it is a global phone like the htc trophy or verizons 4g devices they wont have a sim card gsm needs a sim card cdma doesnt unless its a global phne or lte phone

The first evo 3d that i got had major signal issues. No signal where I normally got signal on my evo 4g. Sprint swapped it out and my new one works great.

Droid X^2's qHD display is pixelated because it's probably utilizing qHD pentile matrix which interpolates WVGA to qHD, it's the same story as with the first Galaxy S i9000 model.
