  • The day that music will die is February 14, 2011.

  • @traffictragedy03 Why?..

  • @MrGooseMuffin The Bieber movie.

  • well said

  • it's not a question of right vs wrong, it's about easy and complicated. You make once song, and you can duplicate it INFINATELY, should we fucking stop doing this and start buying CD's? should we pay for something that is never ending after it is done? Every car for example needs a certain ammount of parts, time and space to produce, and it can't be duplicated like that. It's fucking progress people, better accept it. Some poor-ass guy can now get movies he wouldn't afford otherwise.

  • I listen to mostly Progressive House andTrance now, or anything with a thumpy dance beat.

  • I love buying CD's and cassettes. Just having an mp3 on an ipod does nothing for me.

  • you don't even need to download music anymore; it's already free. just go on YouTube and search.

  • I really hate it when they will reissue some artist's album from the fifties or sixties, somebody who is most likely dead or retired, and they charge like 20 or 30 bucks!

None of that money goes to the artist, obviously. It's just greed! I believe that all that music from the sixties should be completely free as MP3's or at least very cheap as CDs and vinyl re-issues...

  • @yukonnoka

Even worse, when someone releases an album then re-releases it with bonus tracks only like 6 months later. The hardcore fan is going to buy both.

  • also your flush plumber comparison was stupid because. you DONT have to pay roylities every time you play the song , only once when you buy it.

who are we to decide how much the talent is worth, as in, who ae we to decide the artist has made enough money? he'll earn only as much as his music is worth.

and if you are not buying it cz they havent put in "hard work" as you assumed, and its not worth it, dont pirate it either!

  • dude you buying music should depend on weather the music is worth it or not. how is the personal nature of the artist a factor in your decision?

  • thats whats up. told it like it is,good post!

  • This was moving..keep the luv !

  • So with you bro !

    Keep it live !

  • I was thinking about this lastnight, I remember my mother had sooo much music when she was younger ..I have most of the LP's now. Then she just stopped going to gigs and slowly stopped buying music..perhaps its an age thing dude, you must be around the same age as me and I feel the same about all this stuff

  • Good video man

  • nice vid.

Old School and Underground for life.

  • I must say your words were not of hate, but of passion for your ideals of how music is an entity in itself, and not an object that should be marketed. I never realized just how deep youtube is until now.... I just wish that things can only get better. I think youtube is at the grinding asphalt that is rock bottom, lets just hope they can survive now.

  • A very interesting and provacative statement. The problem is that greed has overpowered our culture. The music industry is merely but one of the corporate giants who will bilk and con anyone who has a buck left. It is sad and I wish you well. I agree with braineater316, this statement needs wider distribution. And, by the way, I would gladly pay my plumber a quarter every time I flushed. It's worth it.

  • you're very right.

I can recommend jamendo()com to you.

it's a place where music is free

  • Great words of wisdom. You deserve far more views.

  • its all about the show man!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Music isn't worth buying anymore, really. Songs come in for a week at a time and artists fall out of the 'scene' so much faster than ever before that it's really not worth paying for the CD, or the MP3 even. My mother still listens to the same music she listened to in the sixties and seventies, yet I change what I listen to within weeks. ;) Musicians need to start making more worthwhile music, it costs too much to buy a cd for evvvvery artist you like, like christ. Minimum wage isn't much ;)

  • I'm helping a friend with a music documentary here in L.A. and the focus is on indie bands and how the corporate world has taken the soul out of music. I agree with you dude, and the musicians I work with feel the same way. Yep, music should be free from greed. :-)

  • Well said man; to me there hasn't been too much in the way of good music after the late 90's...
